Chapter 27

As Jungkook handles arguing advisors, a messenger runs into the throne room. "Your Majesty! People dressed in royal clothing are coming out of the forest! They are riding wild animals, and there are hellhounds!"

Jungkook quickly stands up and rushes out of the throne room. With a whistle, Evander gallops to Jungkook and waits for the King to mount him. "Hyah!" Jungkook urges Evander into a gallop. As Jungkook rides out of the castle, the royal guards on horseback follow.

When Jungkook sees the elk carrying his mate at the front of the group, he stops and stares in awe. His mate looks absolutely ethereal, with his hair half pulled up by several golden pins. The young King is conflicted between worrying about his mate riding a wild animal and admiring the beauty and strength of his mate.

There are butterflies flitting through the air around Taehyung, and the hellhounds are in their wolf forms, regally walking beside Taehyung's elk as guardians of the beautiful hellhound. Sitting atop a large, regal elk with wolves protectively walking beside him, Taehyung looks imposing and majestic.

Seeing Jungkook, Taehyung instantly smiles. He is beyond happy to see his mate. He is nervous that Jungkook will be upset, but he is beyond happy to see his mate.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook shouts and urges Evander toward his mate. Seeing the insecurity and nervousness in Taehyung's eyes, Jungkook smiles and decides not to chastise his mate for riding a dangerous animal.

"You are not allowed to be mad. The curse is lifted." Taehyung quickly tells his mate once Jungkook is next to him.

"I am not mad. I am happy, but I am worried because of the large elk you are on." Jungkook chuckles as he reaches out to lovingly cradle his mate's face in his hand.

"Good. I missed you." Taehyung happily smiles and snuggles his face in his mate's hand.

"I have missed you too." Jungkook leans over and kisses his mate's soft lips. "Come with me." He hums against his mate's lips. "I will show you where I grew up, my Dearest."

Taehyung instantly nods and blushes at his mate's sweet words. When Taehyung feels insecure, Jungkook always has a way of dissipating those insecurities.

"Thank you all for coming with my mate. Tonight, we will enjoy our time together." Jungkook smiles as he looks at his friends.

"You better treat us like royalty." Hoseok grins as he looks at Jungkook with pride.

"Of course." Jungkook chuckles and then pecks his mate's lips before leading them to the castle.

As they ride through the capital city, the people of Vortier peek out of the safety of their homes and look at the newcomers with their new King with curiosity. The people whisper amongst themselves as they try to figure out who is with their new King. They are all in awe of the large, majestic animals that the entourage is riding.

When they see how their new King looks at the gorgeous man next to him, the ponder about whether that man is their King's lover. As the hellhounds walk through the city, the people whisper amongst themselves in awe of the majestic wolves.

"Butterflies! Mama! Butterflies!" The children run out of their homes to play with the thousands of butterflies that have accompanied the large entourage.

"Is the curse broken?" The people whisper amongst themselves as they watch the butterflies from the forest with hope. "Has the dead King's death appeased the deity?"

When the entourage arrives at the castle, the royals and advisors are standing in the courtyard. Their eyes are wide when they see the beautiful being beside their King. Because of his beauty, many are confused as to whether he is a man or a woman.
