Court Order--Roughin' It

"Order! Order! This is a church, and you best be treatin' it as one! Shame on all you for entering the church full o' liquor!" The priest desperately tried to get order as several drunk men entered the church, as well as several of their wives.

The church was a community meeting place for the small town of Jujutsu Grove, serving as the courthouse and place of worship--certainly not a place to be disrespected.

Gojo sat at the front of the church with Geto, both looking incredibly defeated.

Once everybody had finally taken their seat, and order was restored, the Priest began to speak.

"Today is a tragic day for Jujutsu Grove, as the gem of our town, Miss Y/N Gojo was kidnapped by the notorious Black Bandit. Today we hold a vote to decide if we will be leaving to save our beloved friend and family member. All in favor, say 'I.'"

A loud and collective, "I" was heard throughout the church.

"All opposed, say 'I.'"

Nobody stood up and the room was silent.

"Then, our community has decided. We will be sending our two best ranchers and shooters out to retrieve the gem of our community, Mister Satoru Gojo, and Mister Suguru Geto. If you oppose, speak now, or forever hold your peace."

Nobody spoke.

It was decided. Gojo and Geto would be looking for you.

Toji pulled the horse to a stop and groaned. "There we go ol' girl."

He hopped off his horse and led her over to a tree in the small clearing he halted in, and tied her up. He then walked over to you, and grabbed your waist, and lifted you off the horse.

As you looked around he began to get some supplies off his horse.

"Ever sleep under the stars?" He asked as he began setting up a small triangle tent.

You shook your head, "My brother says roughin' it outside is only for men. Ladies ought to stay clean and proper."

Toji raised an eyebrow, and pulled down the bandana on his face. The motion was so simple yet so shocking. His face was well structured with thin but handsome lips. The most noticeable part of the lower half of his face was the tiny little scar across the corner of his lips. "Bull." He spat on the ground and kicked the dirt to cover it up.

"What's got you sayin' that, Toji sir?"

"Sleeping under the stars is simply havin' fun while survivin'. I don't think survival is only for men. Neither is looking at God's gift to us lil' humans."

You stayed silent but nodded.

Toji pulled an axe out of the saddle bags on his horse. "Wanna help me chop some firewood?"

You nodded and held out your hands for the axe. He dropped the axe in your hands, but the thing was a lot heavier than you expected causing you to drop it, having it pin your large and puffy dress to the floor.

Toji chuckled and shook his head. He lifted the axe off your dress, "We'll work on it."

You followed him through the wood, while he cut down some of the brush with his axe. "Here we go." He approached a medium-sized oak, and began hacking away at the thing.

Suddenly you screamed.

Toji was quick to look over at you, "What?!"

"A critter went up my dress!" You danced around trying to shake the rodent out.

Toji wasn't sure what to do, so he lifted you up and shook you.

The critter turned out to be a squirrel, who scurried away as soon as Toji started shaking you.

You stared in shock, while Toji just looked at you with confusion.

"We gotta get you a new dress...something a lil' lighter."

You nodded in agreement.

After chopping down the oak, Toji used the stump to make some firewood. After he chopped most of the tree, he put a few logs in your arms, then carried the rest in his arms.

Once you guys returned to camp, you realized how thirsty you were. "Toji sir?"

"Yes darlin'?"

"You don't happen to have any water, do ya'?"

Toji tossed you a canteen, and you caught it. You opened it and took a sip before spitting it out. "Whiskey?!"

Toji chuckled, "How else do you think I pull off what I do?"

You shook your head and handed it back to him. He handed you another canteen, "That's the water one darlin'."

You sipped the water from the canteen, and handed it back to him.

"I grabbed some of the dead cow before we escaped. So go get a fire started so we can roast it."

You nodded and went to the pile of fire wood, and started working on starting the fire. Once you got it started, Toji came over with the pieces of meat on a stick. He handed it to you to cook over the fire while he examined the gun you stole from your brother.

"This thing is nice...nicest rifle I've ever laid my eyes on..."

You spoke up and pointed at it, "He calls it the woman he wish existed."

Toji chuckled. He pointed the thing at a tree, and pretended to shoot it.

"Tomorrow we'll ride into town and getcha a new dress. That thing is too puffy for your own good."

"My brother says if I wear anything thinner I'll have men lining up at my doorstep."

"Is that really so bad?" He smirked and tapped your head.

"He says when that happens to women, they get manipulative--"

Toji burst out laughing. "They sure do!" He slapped your back as he laughed.

"Uh- sir-?"

He wiped the tears from his eyes and took a deep breath, "But is that so bad?" He winked at you, "Your brother just doesn't wanna lose his power. I think pretty girls like yourself ought to use what they got."

You blushed.

"Let's get eatin', I'm starving." He pulled the meat off the stick and began distributing it.

"Thank you Toji sir..."
