21: Big Heart

Jimin couldn't believe he was going to the fair after so many years. Whenever this month came around, Jimin would feel sad, especially during this entire week. He knew his imprisonment was about to begin. Even if he wasn't going to be imprisoned, he wouldn't enjoy without any decent clothes and without any money. He himself didn't want to go to the fair because he knew he wouldn't be able to enjoy it.
The villagers' hatred and their hostile behavior always prevented him from being a part of anything. But now, Jungkook was sending him. Three Smurfs would accompany him, and he was happy about it because he wouldn't be alone in the crowd of people there. He would be able to enjoy himself and be happy. Most importantly, no one would be able to see him there.
Jimin's excitement was palpable, and happiness overflowed from every gesture. Since noon, he had been telling Hobi that he would go to the fair at night. There, he would watch the joker dance and laugh along. He planned to ride the swings and indulge in other activities like trying different foods, playing games, and perhaps even getting his fortune told by the palm reader.
Seeing Jimin so happy, Hobi couldn't help but feel joyful himself. After three weeks, Jimin had returned to his usual self. Hobi was very worried about him during his sadness. He felt like Jungkook had done something, but thankfully, this was the only reason.
As the night arrived, when Jungkook returned to the castle, Jimin was waiting at the gate and could tell that Jimin was unable to contain his excitement. Now, all four of them were gathered in Jungkook's room, the four Smurfs - Jimin, Hobi, and Jungkook. The invisible Smurf was comfortably seated on the side, while the other three were super excited. Jimin didn't know what they were trying on and checking on his face. He didn't know what kind of makeup they had applied on his face.
Jungkook was getting annoyed and frustrated seeing everyone. He didn't know what kind of wonder the four of them had created by joining forces with Jimin. Jungkook was amazed to see Hobi, who was ahead of everyone else. Sometimes someone would make Jimin try on clothes, and sometimes someone else. Then they would change it themselves, saying that it didn't look right.
Jungkook waved his hand, and everyone watched in amazement as Jimin's attire transformed into a perfect outfit for the fair, reminiscent of the mid-modern era of Korea. Jimin was now dressed in a traditional yet stylish hanbok, featuring a vibrant jeogori (jacket) adorned with intricate embroidery and a flowing chima (skirt) in a rich, deep color. His look was completed with comfortable yet elegant traditional shoes called "chima-jeogori" and a matching "norigae" accessory adorning his hanbok. With a nod to the heritage and elegance of Korean fashion from that era, Jimin was ready to enjoy the fair in timeless style, thanks to Jungkook's magical touch.
Jimin stood in front of the mirror, marveling at his dashing appearance in the traditional hanbok. Jungkook approached him and reminded him, "Jimin, remember, you have to come back to the castle. Don't get too far from the Smurfs." Jimin nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and gratitude as he prepared to embark on his fair advnture. With Jungkook's words in mind, he was ready to make the most of the night while ensuring a safe return to the castle.
When the Smurfs and Jimin went to the fair, Jungkook and Hobi stayed behind in the room. Jungkook went to stand in front of the window, and Hobi joined him by his side. Now, both of them were looking at the moon. It was a moment of silence, and both of them remained quiet.
Hobi: So, you let Jimin go? Are you sure he will come back?
Jungkook: Yes, I believe he will come back.
Hobi: What if he doesn't?
Jungkook: He promised me.
Hobi: Promises can be broken. And you've already used your one-time power. You know that you could only use it for your true spouse.
Jungkook: Yes, I know. And I also know that I don't have a spouse. That's why I used it.
Hobi: What if your true spouse arrives? What will you do if it ever need this power?
Jungkook: Are you talking about those Smurfs? What can they do? Hobi, they don't have superpowers. They can only perform basic magic. And isn't it good that they are staying with Jimin? He won't be alone anymore. You should be happy that I used this power on Jimin.
Hobi now realized why Jungkook had done such a thing. If Jungkook ever wasn't present in his life, the Smurfs would always be there with him, being loyal and taking care of him. They would keep him safe from danger.
Jungkook, your heart is full of goodness. My prayer is that you find your true spouse. Hobi had thought in his heart before speaking to Jungkook, "I'll wait for Jimin to come back, then I'll leave."
