"Jaune! Jaune!"

Jaune's eyes snapped open and he found himself back on the bridge, and quickly, he looked around only to see that he was on the bridge, and at his feet was the lifeless corpse of Penny. Jaune's heart stopped and he looked to see that he held a bloody Crocea Mors in his hands and he quickly dropped it as he stepped back.

"What did you do!?"

Jaune turned around and saw Ruby looking at him with a horrified expression as well the rest of WBY and his own team.

They looked at him with terror and disgust.

Jaune stepped forward with a fearful expression, "W-Wait! You don't-!"

Before he could finish, he felt something grab the back of his leg and his head snapped backward to look at what was behind him, and saw Penny's corpse staring at him now, as blood gushed from her chest and pooled out from her mouth.

"Mon...ster..." She gurgled out.

Jaune pulled his leg away as he turned around and now, in front of him stood his reflection, however, the other him was covered in blood and the bodies of his friends lay at his feet, and it felt like his whole world shattered, as Jaune fell to his knees in utter disbelief and horror.

His reflection walked toward him and stood over him with a cold and expressionless face. "This is what we are now," His reflection said. "A killer, a murderer, a monster,"

"No..." Jaune muttered as he grabbed his head and looked to the floor.

"Do you think we can return to them and everything will be fine?" the reflection asked. "Do you think Ruby will look at you like she did before? Do you think Ren will look at you like a brother again? What would Nora think when she learns her fearless leader murdered a friend? Face it... we should have been the one to that day... if we had taken that arrow instead of Pyrrha,"

"No! No! I-! She-! Penny made her choice..." Jaune began.

"Keep telling yourself that, but you know as well as I do that we could've healed her, her wounds weren't that terrible, we could have saved her... and yet, we drove our blade through her chest,"

"BUT SHE'S ALIVE NOW!" Jaune cried. He looked up to his reflection as tears streamed down his face. "She's here... alive... I... I can save her, protect her... I can get another chance, to be the hero..." He sobbed.

The reflection still looked at him with a blank face, "It's not gonna be that easy," It told him. "Penny's not gonna be the same and it'll be our fault,"

"Even if she's not the same... I'm gonna do everything in my power to keep her safe... I'm not going to fail... not again... not ever," Jaune told the reflection.

"Stop lying to yourself... we'll fail again, and when we do... one of those kids is going to die," The reflection said.

Before Jaune could respond with some heated words, his eyes snapped open once again as he felt his body being shaken and he sat up quickly, looking around wildly with a fearful expression.

His eyes landed on Will and saw that he and the younger boy were still in a roadside Motel room they had rented out.

Will saw Jaune's expression and realized he must have scared the older teen and quickly tried to calm him down. "Whoa! Easy! Everything's alright!" Came Will's voice.

"Wh-Whats going on!? What happened!?" Jaune asked as he looked at Will.

"I should be asking you that," Will said. "You were shaking and muttering in your sleep!" Will cried.
