THE SACRIFICE

MYSTIC FALLS HIGH

Amelia is sitting at a bench drawing in her sketchbook when Caroline approaches her and sits down behind her wrapping her arms around her waist resting her chin on her shoulder. Amelia smiles over her shoulder pecking her lips

Amelia: Hey

Caroline: Hey babygirl. You realize it's nearly a full moon, right?

Amelia sadly nods her head.

Amelia: I know.

Caroline: Have you even thought about it? The whole...wolf thing? Do you know what you're gonna do?

Amelia: I somewhat have a plan

Caroline: Well you mind telling one of your girlfriends what that plan is?

Amelia: Care.....

Caroline: Melly. Baby, I'm  student council vice president, head of the prom committee, not to mention I single-handedly organized this town's clean up campaign. And you're really gonna turn down my help?

Amelia smiles shaking her head

Amelia: No.

She pecks her on the lips

Amelia: I love you

Caroline: I love you too.

WOODS

Amelia and Caroline are walking through the woods, Amelia is clutching onto Caroline's hand tightly while the blonde rubs her thumbs over her hand.

Caroline: Hey

She hooks her finger under her chin making her look in the eyes

Caroline: I'm gonna be right beside you, okay? Everything's going to be okay.

Amelia: Ty brought some things he said I would need for the turn but I'm scared

Caroline: I know, baby. Don't be afraid, I'm right here with you.

They head down the steps into the cellar. Amelia turns on a flashlight as they enter the Cellar and moves the beam of light around the room.

She shines the beam of light at a part of the cave. Caroline walks into the Cellar and looks at where the beam of light has landed. Three deep scratches run across the wall.

Caroline: Whoa. They look old.

Amelia shines the light further down the wall at a pair of rusty chains.

Amelia: Ty brought new chains, the bolts should hold.

Her eyes begins welling up with tears

Amelia: I don't think I can handle the pain.

Caroline sighs walking closer towards her taking her in her arms and Amelia sobs into her mate's chest while the blonde runs her fingers through her hair.

Caroline: You never left my side when I turned and I'm not gonna leave yours, Melly. I'm gonna be right beside you.

She cups her face in her hands wiping away the tears with her thumbs. Amelia gazes at her with pure love, she leans up on her tip toes pressing her lips to hers.

They slowly move their lips slowly against each other

Amelia: I love you, Caroline

Caroline: I love you too, baby.
