A/N: the part italicized (the whole shut up and make me part) at the very start of this chapter is what I over heard in line at a ski mountain that's why I wrote this fan fic

(for people who don't ski or snowboard, Blacks = hardest runs
Blues = less hard
Greens = easy)

Charlie's P.O.V
"This is my least favorite part" Nathan whines, etching drawings into the snow with his pole.

"Dude, the lines not even that long" Charlie laughs, they were only like 6 people away from the chair lift.

"I know but still" Nathan says tossing his head back.

"Oh shut up" Charlie says rolling his eyes and fidgeting with his snowboarding jacket.

"Make me" Nathan says, looking back at Charlie with a smirk.

Charlie blushes and swats his hand at Nathan.

"Your lift ticket?" A worker asks, holding up her scanner.

"Sure" Nathan says holding out his ticket.

Charlie nods and does the same.

"What run do we want to do first?" Nathan asks, pushing himself forward.

"Let's try a black, there always fun" Charlie says, inching forward in line.

"Hey are you guys a group of two?" A boy that looks the same age as Charlie and Nathan says as he pushes himself forward with his foot.

He has a black snowboard and red jacket. His face wasn't covered by a balaclava so you could see his green eyes and black fluffy hair pocking out from his helmet.

"Yeah," Nathan says with a smile, shifting over so the other boy has more space.

Charlie narrows his eyes at Nathan and the boy, who start to talk. Should he be worried that Nathan was going to make a new friend and maybe leave him?
No, he shouldn't think that. If Nathan was going to make new friend that would be fine, Nathan had always been friendly with others.

"We're next, Charlie" Nathan says lightly taping Charlie with his pole.

Charlie jumps and nods, shuffling forward with his board.

The chair lift comes up behind the group and they all sit down.

"So are you guys going left or right?" The boy asks, whose name was apparently Lucas.

"Right, what about you?" Charlie says, fiddling with his chain.

"Same," Lucas says.

Around a minute later the boys were at the top of the lift.

"See ya guys around!" Lucas yells after them as he snowboards away.

Nathan smiles at Lucas and waves goodbye and Charlie shoots Nathan a suspicious look.

"He was nice," Nathan says turning back to Charlie.

"Yeah." Charlie says coldly.

He didn't really know why he was so jealous but something about Lucas rubbed him the wrong way.

Something about Lucas and Nathan rubbed him the wrong way.

"Okay you ready? Maybe it's little stupid to start with a black but whatever, if we fall then we fall" Nathan says with a laugh.

Charlie snorts at Nathan, the boy was so oblivious to the way Lucas had looked at him when he had left.

Nathan had always been oblivious to the many boys who had fallen for the pretty blue eyed blond.

"Yeah I'm ready" Charlie says with a smile.

They start to go down the mountain the snow flying up in their face. Suddenly a person cuts Nathan off.
Nathan tries to stop himself from falling but his skis cross and his ankle twists in a sharp angle.

"Oh my god, Nathan are you okay!" Charlie says, stopping next to the other boy who was clearly in pain.

"Yeah, my ankle is just-" he cuts off with a yelp of pain.

"Don't move" Charlie says, leaning closer to Nathan.

"Wow, I am so sorry!" A voice says from above them.

Charlie looks up, spotting Lucas standing next them.

"Dude what the fuck! You can't just cut him off like that!" Charlie yells, upset.

"I didn't mean too! Chill man" Lucas says, waving his hands around in the air.

"Well you should pay more attention to your surroundings!" Charlie shouts back.

"Charlie, calm down. I just twisted my ankle. I am fine." Nathan says, placing a hand on top of Charlie's hand.

"Do you guys need help getting down the mountain? We're pretty far up there's not much ski patrol," Lucas says, ignoring Charlie's previous comment.

"No, you've done enough" Charlie says, glaring at the other boy.

"Charlie, we need his help," Nathan points out, waving to the empty mountain around them.

Charlie knew they were right. No one was around to help them, but he still didn't want Lucas to help them.

"Fine" Charlie scowls.

He would do it, but only because Nathan needed it.

"Okay we just need to carry him down" Lucas says, extending his hand to Nathan.

Charlie gets a twinge of jealousy as Nathan accepts it.

"Take my arm" Charlie says, lending his arm to Nathan who gratefully takes it.

He wraps his other arm around his waist to stabilize him.

"Okay on the count of three you'll stand up" Lucas says.

"One, Two, Three..." He continues.

Nathan pushes himself up with the help of the other boys, he wincing as he puts some weight on his ankle.

After the group of boys had made it a good way down the mountain, Lucas turns to Nathan.

"I know this is kinda of random, but could I get your number? Not in a friend way," Lucas says, looking at Nathan with a light shade of pink covering his cheeks.

Charlie clenches his hand, his nails painfully digging into his palms. He glances down at his hands to see a little blood from where his nails dug in.

"Oh, um..." Nathan says, looking down awkwardly at the snow.

He's going to say yes, Charlie thinks jealousy. Charlie wasn't going to try to stop him because that would be toxic but he was going to internally wish he would say no.

"Uh, sorry, but I am not interested." Nathan says, glancing up at Charlie with a faint smile.

Take that Lucas, Ha!

Charlie try's to suppress a cocky grin from spreading on his face. He desperately wants to rub it in. That Nathan wasn't interested but he knew he shouldn't.

"Oh, that's understandable, sorry" Lucas says awkwardly.

Nathan nods with a fake smile.
