A Dream changed, A Legacy found (Support Course Deku AU)

For the First Time

Midoriya and Aoki found their way out of the building, and observed the area around them. That is, Midoriya observed the area around them.

"What is it?" Aoki asks, "Are we outside? What's all that noise?"

"Yeah, we're outside." Miidoriya replies, "But, um, things aren't going to well."

Aizawa was standing in front of the weird gray kid, grasping his arm. He punched Shigaraki, and countered sneak attacks from two other villains. Then, a giant monster-like person appeared behind Shigaraki.

Over at the exit, Thirteen laid on the ground, the back of her suit torn. Kurogiri was chasing after Iida, who was going towards the exit.

"Aoki, Aoki!" Midoriya says.

"What?" Aoki asks, looking in the completely opposite direction, "Is it a bad guy?!"

"Yes, just-" Midoriya starts before lasers fly over his head.

"WHERE?!"

"Just hold still!"

Midoriya grabbed his friend's head and directed it towards the exit. Kurogiri's neck bracer rattled with laser beams bouncing off of it, momentarily incapacitating the villain. Iida rushed out of the USJ, the doors slamming closed behind him.

"High five!" Midoriya cheers, raising his hands up to the sky.

"Yeah!" Aoki says, whipping around, nearly decapitating his friend, "Oop. Sorry."

"Just watch it, okay?" Midoriya says.

"I will, I wi- Wait, hey I'm okay!"

The lasers had fizzled out, giving the dumb blonde his vision back. This time, the two high fived properly.

"Hey, there's our stuff!" Aoki says, pointing to a bag by the flood zone, "Let's grab it!"

"C'mon then!" Midoriya says, racing down the mountain.

At the bottom of the ruin zone, Midoriya and Aoki dashed around the edge of the main plaza, reaching their bag with little problem. (Aoki tripped) Midoriya rustled through the some-what large bag, trying to find something helpful. Aoki was supposed to be keeping a look out, but his eyes wandered off to the flood zone, where his brother was fighting villains.

"Midoriya..." Aoki starts, before nearly getting punched in the face. 

"Found them!" Midoriya says, lifting up giant white metal gauntlets, "Like that one lady from that game that got turned into a show. What was her name again?"

"Six?" Aoki asks, "Something like that. Anyway, my brother, he's over by the yacht, and..."

"You want to help?"

"...Yeah. But I don't want to leave you, so-"

"It's fine."

Midoriya looks at Aoki and smiles.

"I have these, so now I'm strong. I can actually fight, for once in my life."

Midoriya reaches out for a shake, and Aoki clasps the metal hand, smiling along with his friend.

"See ya 'round." Aoki says, running down to the flood zone.

Midoriya turns back around, looking at the villains in the plaza.

For the first time, Izuku Midoriya would not be helpless.

For the first time, he would feel like a hero.
