Rishi's POV
Walking down the hallway, glitter and drapes flew everywhere.
It's times like these when college life actually hits you the way it should. But right now,I needed a quiet environment to work on my story.
And loads of inspiration,of course
My worries were sidelined when I saw Kyra standing amidst the flying drapes, having no clue about what was going on.
She smiled adorably when she saw me smiling at her and made her way towards me.
Is she on a mission to make me lose my grip again?
We're better off playing this game of pretending that few cosy things didn't happen
"I was searching for you", she spoke
"Why? "
"You're the coordinator of the writing club, aren't you?" she said
"Looks like it", I chuckled, hinting at the laptop and book I was holding.
"Amazing. Then let's go", she gleamed, taking my hand
Ignoring my trail of questions and complaints, she dragged me off to somewhere
The somewhere being the least I expected
Leaving me at the back of the hall where the members were seated, she walked to the front calling for their attention.
What is she up to?
"Hi there.... So everybody knows me here. And for sure some might even be mad at me", she addressed
My pals in the room looked at her with confusion and interest.
"Honestly, it's completely reasonable. I screwed you guys up cause I didn't know what to do with my life"
"This isn't an excuse for what I did... I'm not sure if I'm ready to do this. But taking on the advice of a wise person.....", she gazed at me with a smile
"I'll do this. I don't love this club as much as I could have done in the past. Because the past is what I'm missing out on"
That courageous confession earned her a lot of gasps and surprised glances.
"I just wanna say a huge apology to each one of you. And I mean it...."
"I'll work on making it right, if you guys give me the chance", she concluded with sincerity
Jiya jumped out of her seat crushing Kyra into a bear hug, startling her.
"I knew you'd come around", she chirped
"You guys are giving me another chance?" Kyra asked in disbelief as the other nodded
I strided forward not being able to take my eyes off her.
"How can we not? Our coordinator would be devastated if we don't", she attempted to hush the last part
"I heard that, Jiya", I taunted as she bit her tongue
Kyra burst into laughter at our banter. Her small steps towards finding her true self was a victory to me.
Perfectionism is hers; She just needs to have faith in herself.
Once she finds it... my part will be done
"Is this what you really want?" I whispered to Kyra.
She smiled in my direction,nodding
"I'm working on your advice "
"We can check out Lush Mirage tomorrow, if that's okay with you", she said as I glanced at her surprised
