Poppy is in her pod, laying, just thinking to herself as she waits for night to come. She gets up and looks out the window. Watching the lights go out in each one. She smiles as she opens her door and jumps out. She runs to the forest, excited to see them.
Branch is making dinner and hears the lift. He smiles slightly as his daughter rushes out of her room and hugs her mother as the lift stops. Poppy hugs her back and kisses her forehead. She looks at Branch and smiles at him. Branch just looks away and continues dinner.
"Hey Lav, how was today?"
"Really fun! Daddy took me to the pond and then we gathered wood! Oh! Oh! And! He made me this!!"
She runs to her room to look for it.
Poppy giggles. She then looks over to Branch, he was stirring some soup. She walks over but keeps her distance.
"Hey Branch-"
"Not now Poppy."
"Look I know I'm asking a lot from you to look after her.. But if my dad knew we had a daughter, he'd make us get married and be king and queen.."
"You always say that like it's a bad thing. We had her together, but you don't want to marry me because of her?"
"No it's not that..! I'm just not ready to be queen.. I still-"
"Poppy, think of Lavender. She needs to be around kids her age."
"I know.."
Lavender then runs out of her room and shows her mother the toy made by her father.
"Lavender, can you go play so I can talk to your mother. "
"Ok!"
She then skips away to her room.
Poppy sighs and looks back to Branch. He walks over to her and sets his hands on her hips.
"Relax.. I know we fought yesterday about it but i don't want to upset you even more.. Just think about it."
Poppy nods and leans her head on his shoulder. He kisses the side of her head and rubs her back.
"I do love you.."
Poppy says quietly.
"I know.."
