"Thanks for the ride." I say as Max and I get out.

"Ah, ah, ah." Max says.

"What?" I ask.

"Pay your driver." Max says, holding his hand out.

"Are you serious?" I ask.

"As serious as that 50k you just got." Max says.

I sigh and take my wallet out of my pocket. I open it and hand him a $100 bill.

"No tip?" Max says.

I glare at him and he laughs. We walk up the steps and go into the building. We go upstairs and I unlock the door.

"I'm home." I say walking in.

"Hey, kid." Dad says walking into the living room.

"You look nice." I say hugging dad.

"Got a date?" Max asks.

"Yes, actually." Dad says.

"Oh." I say.

"Her names Jennifer, I've got a little money saved so I'm gonna take her somewhere nice." Dad says.

"Dinner's on me." I say opening my wallet.

"I can't ask you to do that." Dad says, as I take money out.

"All you ever been is a good dad. Let me at least try to pay you back for all you do." I say.

"I'm not taking any money from you." Dad says.

"Come on. Take her really super nice, splurge if you will." I say.

"Ah, alright. Just hope she doesn't think I can afford to take her places like this all the time." Dad says taking the money from me.

We laugh and he smiles.

"Have fun." I say.

He nods and leaves.

My phone rings and I take it out of my pocket.

"Hey." I say.

"I heard you're in NYC." Scott says.

"Yeah." I say.

"Party in Manhattan. You down?" Scott says.

"Gonna have to pass." I say.

"Come on, you only live once." Scott says.

"Can I bring a friend?" I ask.

"Of course." Scott says.

"Alright." I say.

"Text me your address." Scott says.

"Okay." I say.

Scott hangs up and I look at Max.

"Wanna go to a party?" I ask.

"I'm always down to party." He says.

I smile and nod.

"I'm not so sure what's so special about that movie." Griffin says.

"I'm not either but Y/n said it was her favorite. What do you think she's doing right now?" I say.

"Sure as hell not thinking about you." Griffin says.

"What makes you say that?" I ask.

"It's a Friday night and she's basically still a teenager. What do you think she's doing? Sure as hell not moping around thinking about her girlfriend who's all the way across the country." Griffin says.
