The Elantra Pirates

Chapter 8

"Charge!" Yunga jumped off the boat and so did all of the other crew members as they jumped off the boat after Yunga did. Some of the night patrol saw Yunga and the rest of the crew, but it was too late to wake up all the others. Yunga and her crew were already at the tents, and they started slashing at the night patrol. Many of the crew members went inside of the tents and killed the people inside.

Yunga was the head of the charge and was the first person of the crew to get a kill, as she slashed some of the night patrol. She also would go into tents and kill the people sleeping in the tent.

Hillanter was slashing people away, and was looking through every tent to see if Brentha was in one of them. But every slave that he came across in a tent was human and not Purk that they were looking for.

Zunci was also doing the same thing as Hillanter, but she was more quick than any of them. Going from tent to tent, killing the people inside and freeing the slaves that were in the tent. Yet, no sign of Brentha anywhere in any of these tents.

Shanta was blowing people with her magic. Blasting little shocks to people and lifting up tents to check who's inside but yet again, no sign of Brentha anywhere. Shanta kneels on the ground in a safe spot and focuses real hard. Her head started to glow purple, and after five seconds she turned to Yunga. "Brentha is at the tent on the top of the hill!"

"Really? How do you know that!?" Yunga yelled back.

"Just listen to me and let's get there! We won't have much time!"

"Got it!"

Yunga looked around for Hillanter, Zunci, and Shug. She is able to spot Zunci coming out of a tent and waves over at her to get her attention. Zunci doesn't see her at first but looks over at her and quickly runs over to her.

"What's wrong!?" Zunci frantically asked.

"We need to get to the tent at the top of the hill, that's where Brentha is being held." Yunga exclaimed. "Get Hillanter and Shug, then we charge the tent on top of the hill!"

"Speak of the devil!"

Hillanter came running up. "Why are we stopping here!?"

"Brentha is at the top of the hill!" Yunga quickly responded.

"Alright let's go!" Hillanter started charging up the hill, with his weapon raised to the sky.

"Wait, where's Shug!?" Zunci quavered.

"Don't know, but we don't have time right now!" Shanta voiced. "We need to get up that hill, we can search for him later!"

Shanta rushed right after Hillanter.

"He'll be fine. I promise!" Yunga said. "We just need to get going now!" Yunga followed suit after Hillanter and Shanta.

"God, I hope you're right Yunga."

"Well isn't she a cute one." A drunken man said, leaning over towards Brentha's face. Brentha was tied up and her mouth was covered. Her long black hair was covering her face, but you could still see the tears rolling down her cheek.

"Back off man! I thought we agreed that I would get the first round!" Another man butted in, pushing the guy away from Brentha's face.

"Come on man, I'm just admiring her. Cut me some slack here would ya?"

"Just move out of the way, and sit down. It's getting late anyways."

The guy began to walk over to Brentha and kneeled down to her. "Don't worry darling, this'll be over quickly." He took off her mouth cover. "Let's see that face fully, without this silly thing in the way." As soon as he takes it off of her face, she immediately spits at him. The guy lunges back and stumbles.
