Backstory: Karnak was born when his father, the king of Tartaros had an affair with a human woman. Because of this, he was treated unfairly, because he was considered a bastard child. Karnak was still given extensive combat training with a staff and taught blood magic, because of the Tartaros Kingdom's war with the Solaris Empire, although he was told over and over that he would never have the throne. One day, Solaris got a surprise attack, and Tartaros was left in ruins, Karnak being the only person of royal blood left alive. The elves retreated underground and built a new city, Eclipse, and reluctantly, they made Karnak their leader, because of his royal blood, although he was soon replaced. He wished to find a way to restore Tartaros, no matter the cost, but the other elves liked their new home and considered him too devoted to Tartaros to lead them. Angered that he was the only one who seemed to care about the elves's ancestral home, he left Eclipse, swearing to find a way to restore Tartaros himself. Eventually, Xerkhon reached out to him, and he said that if Karnak worked for him, he would have the power to restore Tartaros one day. Karnak immediately accepted, and over time, he became Xerkhon's high priest.
