(Author's Note: The lore here is recommended reading, because it will give you a lot of important knowledge about the way the world and universe of The Crimson Champion works. Also, the characters/gods Solaris and Eclipse belong to my doomtastic friend Doom!)

The Creator, The Destroyer, and The Watcher.

At the very beginning of space and time, there were three incredibly powerful beings, two of which being counterparts, Horatio Nullus and Velgor Abyssix, with the third being Kallia Discordia. Horatio and Velgor waged war across the empty universe for a seemingly endless amount of time with Kallia just watching, until she came up with a way for them to coexist peacefully. Horatio would create planets/worlds, with Creator Gods to watch over them, and when the time came, Velgor would devour them, as a cycle of birth and death. While Kallia had to trick them into having a civil conversation, both Horatio and Velgor agreed with Kallia's idea, then Horatio got to work creating. First, he created a plane of existence beyond everything, which was known only to him as Nullstasia, for himself to watch over the universe. Then, he created the worlds, and the worlds each had a Creator God. That Creator God would watch over their world with the help of minor gods, and the worlds would also each have a separate realm for the gods to discuss things. Horatio also created The Celestial Plane, where the creator gods were to meet with each other. After Horatio created all of this, he retreated to Nullstasia, to watch over the universe and never interfere, no matter what, unless it's time to create more worlds, while Kallia realized she liked tricks, which led to the creation of what is known as Chaos Power, so she decided to travel around the universe, never calling any one place home. Due to this, the endless void, also known as space, was left as Velgor's domain. However, over the ages, Velgor grew greedy, and wished to devour more worlds before it was meant to. Eventually, it found the perfect tool to do this, in a young, curious Creator God, who wished to discover her origins. Velgor reached out to her and told her of Horatio's existence, and that if she helped Velgor with its plan of devouring worlds, she would be able to gain the knowledge and power she needed to ascend to Nullstasia and meet with Horatio Nullus himself, to question him on why he created her, and for what. Unfortunately, Velgor could care less about her goals, and if the day comes when Velgor consumes all worlds, she may just be Velgor's next target...

The planes of existence in the universe and the paths to the void.

The universe is separated into multiple planes of existence. First, you have the worlds themselves, each ruled over by its Creator God, with a separate realm for that world's gods to have meetings. Then, you have the void, also known as space, which is Velgor itself and its domain. After that is The Celestial Plane, where the universe's Creator Gods meet with each other. And after that is Nullstasia, an existence beyond everything else, where The Creator Being, Horatio Nullus resides as he watches over the universe and creates new worlds as necessary. As for the void and its paths, each world has a hidden path that can lead to the void, and knowledge of the paths is usually very limited to nonexistent. Norzelrin's path to the void lies in the depths of the Lorgel Mountains, taking the form of a seemingly bottomless pit. The paths can also technically be used to travel to other worlds, too, by entering your home world's void path and emerging from another world's void path, but it is not really used because most people don't even know of the existence of Horatio, Velgor, or other worlds.

The gods of Norzelrin.

Most of the gods have a town or village named after them, and they all have their own domain/realm. Some abilities that they all share are resurrection, being able to look at the events of the world, teleporting and making portals, the creation and summoning of objects, and being able to empower the abilities of mortals, such as strength, endurance, and vitality. The gods can also gift their champions with teleportation, object de-summoning, and portal making abilities as rewards for their service, if they wish.
