I closed the door and I heard something drip. I opened the door slowly and looked up at the ceiling. To my horror, I saw blood dripping from the ceiling as if someone was left up there stabbed a million times. I started to panic hoping that it wasn’t Chris, when all of a sudden the body came crashing down through the ceiling. I screamed and ran back towards the door but I forced myself to go look at the body to make sure it wasn’t Chris. As I looked over to see who it was, I gasped immediately recognizing my best friend. It was Kylie.

I screamed and ran out the door not even bothering to pick up the camera. I ran down the hall and down a set of stairs, apparently leading to the basement. I stopped and tried to calm myself, but all I could say was “Kylie’s dead. She’s dead!” Then I thought of Chris. No, Chris can’t be dead too!  “CHRIS!! CHRIS WHERE ARE YOU!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. I finally managed to calm down enough to notice that it was pouring outside. I heard a sound so loud it was like an elephant was walking in the school.

I started looking for a light switch because the basement was pitch black. And just when I found one, the lightning from outside filled the basement with light and in the two seconds it lit up the room I saw a little boy standing in front of me with blood all over his hands. I screamed at the same time I heard the thunder and ran back up the stairs. When I reached the top I screamed because what I saw I would never forget.

At the top of the stairs I saw the hallway filled with children. All of them had blood all over their bodies. I guessed those were the children that were murdered. There was only one way out and that was by going through the crowd of children. I finally stopped screaming and started running through the crowd of kids.

What I felt while running through the ghost kids was pure sadness. I felt their aching to go home and see their parents. I almost stopped halfway to the door to give a little girl a hug because although she didn’t have any blood on her, I guessed she died of shock. But then I remember that she’s a ghost and I started to freak out again and I kept running.

I ran out the doors and through the woods. I kept running until I reached the clearing in the woods. I stopped, and trying to catch my breath and looked back towards the school. “I’m so sorry Chris, but I cannot go back to get you.” I say still trying to catch my breath. Tears started streaming down my face because I just lost Kylie and I might have just lost Chris too. There was a murderer in that school and he might kill me too.

“You don’t have to worry about me Alex, you should be worrying about keeping yourself alive” I heard a voice behind me say. I slowly turned around and saw Chris standing behind me.

“It was you?! You killed Kylie?! What in the world is wrong with you?” I yell at him, still in shock.

“Calm down Alex. Don’t you see? I was just having fun. This was just a game. A game in which everyone dies.” Chris said sounding possessed.

“Please Chris you don’t have to do this. I can get you some help, you’re sick, please let me help you.” I begged him.

“Like I said, this is MY game and in MY game everybody dies. You know who killed all of those kids in that school? My dad. He started the game. Now, I’m going to finish it.”

“Chris, please…don’t do this.” I sobbed.

“I have to.” He said in a tone that made it clear I wasn’t going to change his mind. I won’t die. I won’t let him kill me. There’s only one thing I could do now. Run.

I sprinted as fast as I could towards the other side of the opening because I knew I wouldn’t make it around him and back to the school.

Eventually Chris grabbed my shoulder and yanked me to the ground. He pinned me to the wet grass and said “Game over.” And then he brought down the knife and everything went black.
