"Nghh..." He mutters.

"Rest now master, please." I pull up the blanket.

I light green light in my hands, and I place it over his chest. Please work. Please work. He flinches. I look down at him. He's breathing. His hands were gripping the sheets. His breath is strong but soft.

"Nghh..." He turns his head.

"Master?" I ask.

"Well, I thought he would survive something like that." A voice says.

I turn in a startle. I see her walking through the doors. No... not her. Not in a human form. A shadow like me. So... we're dealing with someone of far more power than I first suspected. She charges. I grab her hand and push her off. Her ears. They were a wolf's ear. I have the antlers of a deer. Our unique animal traits fade as we stare at each other.

"Do you really think he can survive against us? She asks.

"Yes." I say.

"You're cute. My master might actually feel bad if she kills you both." She says.

"I can say the same thing about you and your master." I say.

"Careful he's stirring." She points.

"Nghh...." He slowly flinches his eyes.
