PACKING WAS never a strong suit for harmony. She had to convince herself not to pack seven different outfits for the quest. It was a quest not a vacation. She ended up taking a random backpack she found, she couldn't risk losing the pin-filled one,it was too important to her. She filled it with two camp shirts. (Just because she was going on a quest, doesn't mean she has to ruin her clothes,) A pair of jeans, eight changes of underwear, an iPod with headphones, the general necessary hygiene products. And of course her pocket knife and gold dagger. She wore a dark grey casual button square neck long sleeve. The shirt gave her 2000 vibes, and a lace white shirt underneath. Some denim jeans, and some dark blue converse. She also wore an oversized grey jacket just in case she got cold. The camp store loaned the quester one hundred dollars in mortal money and twenty golden drachmas. The coins were as big as a cookie and had images of various Greek gods stamped on one side and the Empire State Building on the other. The ancient mortal drachmas had been silver, Chiron told them, but olympians never used less than pure gold. The coins always became useful in non-mortal transactions. He gave each of them a flask of nectar and an airtight bag full of ambrosia squares, to be used only in emergencies, if they were seriously hurt. It would cure us of almost any injury, but it was lethal to mortals. Too much of it would make a half-blood extremely feverish. An overdose would burn them up from the inside out.
Annabeth was bringing her magic Janie's cap, which she got as a thirteenth-birthday present from her mom. She carried a book on famous classical architecture, written in Ancient Greek, to read when she got bored, and her celestial bronze, hidden in the shirt sleeve of her camp shirt.
Grover wore his fake feet and his trousers to pass as human. He wore a green rasta-style cap, because when it rained his curly hair flattened and you could just see the tips of his horns. His bright orange backpack wall full of scrap metal and apples to snack on. In his pocket was a set of reed pipes his daddy goat had carved for him, even though he only knew two songs:Mozart's piano concerto no. 12 and Hilary duff's "so yesterday," both of which sounded pretty bad on reed pipes.
Percy was traveling pretty light, since he didn't have many possessions at camp. So he just packed clothes, a toothbrush, and that type of stuff. Harmony was kinda of worried that Percy still didn't have a weapon, but she figured Chiron would fix something up for him.
A little after she finished packing, Luke came up to her.
"You're the last person I would expect to go on a quest." Luke said plopping himself on her bed.
"Well it's not like I want to go on this quest but what choice do I have." Harmony responded.
"I know you like to play with your jewelry when you're nervous so, have my ring, This one is my favorite so don't lose it. Luke said placing the ring in her hand.
"Thanks Luke..." she said admiring the ring. It was silver but she was more of a gold type of girl but she was still grateful for it, it had initials on the inside of the ring L+A+T+H.
