College. The place to make new friends, try new things, get slammed by the work your professors give you, pull all-nighters, and an unhealthy amount of stress. Donghyun didn't necessarily feel that way. College wasn't terrible, it was just okay—nothing glamorous but nothing far from it either.

There, of course, was an issue.

being introverted.

Which he found hilarious when his MBTI came out as an ESFJ.

Donghyun was never the type to go out and meet new people, on that note he only had one friend. Sungho. Honestly, Sungho didn't hang out with Donghyun much probably because he found him dull like a drying wall of paint but his buddy Dongmin didn't think he was that bad. So I guess in other words, Dongmin was his friend, not Sungho.

However, it was difficult for him to go out with either of them. Sungho was talkative and had many friends while Dongmin liked to eat. A LOT. Donghyun didn't have an issue with them it was more himself he had an issue with. One is that he didn't talk much, he's never been much of a talker. Two being Donghyun didn't eat.

He didn't think it was a problem, he was always skinny. Picked at his food and ate in small amounts or not at all, most of the time he just never felt hungry. This always worried his mother, she was the best cook in Donghyun's opinion. She loved to visit to stock his fridge with amazing dishes so he couldn't use being lazy as an excuse for not eating. Most of the time, Donghyun was just lazy.

It wasn't a bad thing, no matter how many times the doctor told him how underweight he was. He always ignored him, he ate cause he had to not because he wanted to. Maybe, that was the issue.

As much as he would love to hang out with Dongmin more he didn't want to be a burden. For making him spend money on food Donghyun most likely won't finish and the possibility of embarrassment. Would Dongmin think he's weird?

So many things worried Donghyun, for the silliest of reasons. He sighed, he always thought so much. He glanced over at his fish tank, a peace washed over him taming his mind.

a knock on his door.

Donghyun got up, his long limbs covered in sweats and a sweatshirt, and answered the door.

Dongmin gave a small smile, "Hey, Hyun."

"Hey, Min."

"Are you hungry?"

Donghyun blinked, "not really."

"Oh."

Donghyun wanted to slam his head into the wall seeing his friend frown, "but I'll accompany you if you want."

What was he saying?

Dongmin smiled once again, "Okay let's go!"

Donghyun had no choice but to slip on his shoes and grab his phone, wallet, and keys. This was good for him, that's what he told himself now that he was going out. Other than leaving his room for classes, he was actually going out with a friend.

Honestly, Donghyun felt good about it.

"What are you craving," Donghyun asked.

Dongmin thought about it, "Hmm, maybe chicken?"

"Good choice," Donghyuk said, nodding to allow the male to guide them to a fried chicken place in their era.

They got seated and Donghyun started looking around the restaurant while Dongmin looked at the menu. He saw a picture on the wall of a set of four cheeseballs, his stomach rumbled slowly.

It wouldn't hurt, if he doesn't finish them he can just take them home.

"I'm going to get an order of cheese balls for myself, I'll pay for them," Donghyun stated.

Separate check, he rarely thought of that.

Dongmin hummed, "I'm going to get half and half, original and honey garlic."

Donghyun nodded, clicking the button on the table which calls the waiter over. A small blonde male walked over, and Donghyun tuned out. He felt like the guy was laughing and talking in slow motion, what was happening?

"Hyun!"

Donghyun blinked, "what?"

"Tell him what you're getting."

"Oh, uh, 4-piece set of cheese balls and a coke," Donghyum stated.

"Is the honey dip okay?"

Donghyun nodded, "yeah."

"Okay perfect, I'll get your orders to the kitchen, I'm going on my break so someone else will bring it out to you," the waiter said.

"Thank you," Donghyun said.

Dongmin looked at Donghyun as he watched the waiter leave their sight, "what the hell was that?"

Donghyun looked over, "was what?"

"You stared at him so intensely," Dongmin stated, getting out of the cutlery.

Donghyun scratched the back of his neck, "I didn't notice."

Dongmin tilted his head grabbing the water pitcher and pouring water into their glasses. Donghyun lied straight through his teeth.

Of course, I noticed.

He had to notice, from the corner of his eye, that he saw him again. Their waiter sat at a table his apron off and a small lunch box was placed in front of him.

He never told us his name, I didn't read his nametag.

Whoever he was he ate with such gusto Donghyun felt his stomach stop grumbling. He wasn't hungry anymore, then another waiter brought their food and he could only take a bite out of one cheese ball before slowly picking at it.

"Hey are you feeling okay," Dongmin asked, he had already eaten half of his plate.

Donghyun nodded, "My stomach has been acting up, I'll probably take these home."

He hated to lie but telling people he was a small eater made him feel embarrassed. Yet, no one really paid attention to how he ate until they were sitting right in front of him. Just like Dongmin was right now.

He couldn't help but drift his eyes over to the waiter once again. He ate a lot and had a bit of sauce smeared at the corner of his mouth.

Donghyun found himself smiling fondly at the male.

He was kind of cute?

Yeah, like a cute pufferfish with how filled his mouth was.

He was cute.

Very cute.
