"So..what are we thinking of tonight?"Beau asks Noa as theystood in her kitchen.
Her parents were in Palm Springs, attending one of her mom's high school friend's wedding.
Noa sips on her water as she looks at her bestie.
"I'm not sure yet.."she says, turning to face her bestie."But I want to make tonight special for Luke since he had the interview today."
Beau nods with a smirk before he gets up and heads up to her bedroom and makes a beeline for the closet. Noa chuckles as she sits in her chair and watches her best friend rummage her underwear drawer.
Beau showed her a cute black set which caused Noa to shrug.
"Aww..look how cute he looks in his tshirt and blazer."she says, showing Beau the photo of what Luke wore to his college interview.
Beau smiles and shakes his head.
"I love how cute both our boyfriends look in their smart casual vibe. T has been upping his fashion game and I'm beginning to notice that these other hoes and bitches are starting to lust after him."
"I know this might sound cocky but I love that Luke doesn't realize just how cute he is."
"Or it could be the fact that he's not all that bright."Beau retorts.
Noa frowns as she turns to leave and make a light snack. Beau follows and hugs his friend.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean that, Luke is street smart and you two balance each other out."
"I will accept your apology if you make your amazing dolce de leche cupcakes for me."
"Gladly."
Noa stood stirring the pasta sauce. She wanted to make something simple for her and Luke. After finishing it, she takes the shrimp out and spices it before turning the pan on to fry them. As the oil heats, she sets the table and heads back.
Luke enters the Kingston home and heads up to Noa's room to put his bag down before he walks to the kitchen where he goes to hug his girlfriend from behind.
"Thank you. Today has been so stressful."he says, rubbing her belly.
"Was the interview that hard?"
Luke shakes his head before resting it in her neck.
"No, I decided to go after seeing how my parents tried to hide how hurt they were from each other."
Noa laughs and shakes her head, turning the stove off and grabbing the shrimp and pasta. Luke takes the sauce and garlic bread. It was a nice view into their future.
"So, are you ready to go back to school?"Noa asks as they dish each other's plates.
"I'm not sure. I mean I liked working but I would go further if I have a degree."
"You don't have to worry about money..I can support the two of us."
"I know but I want to share the duties..eww I sound like my Mom and Dad."
