Flynn was walking in the halls of the palace that morning. He was in search of Sofia, who he planned to prove if she was the gifted or not.

Yesterday, Chris and him made a plan for Chris to give her a gift. Since she is madly in love with him, she'll surely get excited. Strong emotions were all Flynn needed to sense her abilities.

"Flynn!"

He heard a familiar voice. It was Laura.

She ran to him, gasping for breath when she stopped.

"I was looking for you," she pants, "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the library and look at more Shakespeare plays with me."

He was looking for Sofia, but Chris wasn't back yet with her gift anyway, so what was the harm?

"Of course, Your Majesty." Flynn and her started walking to the library.

Little did they know that someone was ease dropping.

"Ah-Ha! I knew it! Flynn is after my sister!" Victor said to the guards.

They looked at each other, confused as one spoke up, "What should we do, Your Highness."

Victor gently pushed on of them with his hand, "Leave this one to me, gentlemen."

~~~
Flynn sat in the library as Laura read allowed, "What's in a name? That which we call a rose. By any other name would smell as sweet."
She put down the book, "Romeo and Juliet has become my favorite play ever since I started reading it."
Flynn listened as she added, "I love their forbidden romance. They're from families that despise each other. Wouldn't it be amazing if you were in love with someone who the world kept you from?"
Flynn chuckled nervously, "I think that would be more of a curse than a blessing, but whatever you say."
She kept reading, "All the woes shall serve for sweet discourses in our time to come," she stopped reading and said,  "You know, Romeo and Juliet remind me of you, and me."
He looked at her, surprised, "I'm sorry, what?"
She blushed, realizing what she said, "Oh! Um, I mean... you're a mobster, I'm princess, we're both single."
Flynn chuckled nervously, "Isn't that hilariously convenient!"
She shrugged, "I dunno. Just a thought. Anyway, I wanted to ask you something."
Flynn hesitated, worried it would be a marriage proposal or something, "What's that?"
"You're a gifted, right?"
He was curious why she asked or cared, but he replied.
"Mhm."
"I was curious how gifted become gifted. Are they born with it?"
Flynn shook his head, "Well, the gifted have been dated back since the beginning of time. There are countless amounts of abilities existing in the world that even the most knowledgeable of gifted aren't aware of. Whenever a gifted dies, their ability is passed on to the next born baby no matter where they are on the globe. That baby grows up and passes away, passing their gift to the next born baby, and so on."
"I see. So it's not hereditary?"
"Nope, but my father was also a gifted."
Her eyes lit up, "What was his ability?"
Flynn chuckled, "Oh trust me, you don't wanna know."
She looked at him, curious what his father's ability could be. Surely it couldn't be TOO bad? Right?
Suddenly, Flynn got a text from Chris.
C: I got her something.
F: What did you get?
C: Why does it matter to you?
F: Just tell me what you got 🙄
C: I got her favorite flowers and her favorite dessert: cinnomon rolls.
F: Perfect! 🥳
C: It's almost 3:00, Should we do it now?
F: Sure, I'll get Sofia, you go to the central area of the royal garden
C: Got it
F: See you soon, Chrissy~
**System** Chrissy is no longer active.
Flynn put his phone in his pocket as he looked at Laura, "Forgive me, Your Highness, but my presence is required somewhere else." He got up and bowed before walking to the doors.
Laura sighed as she looked at her book.
"Laura?"
Laura looked up from her book to see her little brother: Victor.
"What were you doing just now? With Flynn."
"Oh! I invited him to read Romeo and Juliet with me!"
Victor crossed his arms, "You seem to be fond of him."
Laura nodded, cluelessly, "Oh, yes! He is quite the gentleman, isn't he?"
Victor scowled as Flynn left the library.
"He sure is," he lied. He thought to himself, "That Bastard."
~~~

Flynn walked with Sofia, who he retrieved from her room. She walked with him as she looked around and glanced at him from time to time.

"I bet you're wondering why I asked to see you."

She looked at him as he kept talking.

"I'm doing a favor for someone. They asked to see you."

Sofia looked confused, but it's not like she could ask any questions. She kept walking with him as they made their way out the doors to the palace gardens.

The sun was setting. The golden and pink flowers shined against the green shrubs. The song of nighttime birds and cicadas playing their anthem in the garden.

Flynn walked with Sofia. He eventually stopped without her noticing. She kept walking until she reached the center circle of the garden.

Chris stood there with a bouquet of flowers and a box of cinnomon rolls.

Sofia blushed a little as she walked closer, surprised.

Chris stuttered his words, "U-Uh... Sofia?"

She walked closer, their eyes locked.

Flynn stood behind a shrub as he took out his phone, "My god, this is adorable."

"I wanted to do something nice for you. I got you hydrangeas and cinnomon rolls. Your favorites."

She smiled and blushed as he handed them to her.

"You are so nice to me, even though I'm just your servant. I appreciate the amount of kindness you show me every day. I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you."

Sofia blushed, and out of excitement, she kissed him on the cheek.

Chris blushed, too. He felt his heart flutter.

Flynn chuckled out of joy as he took a picture of them. Suddenly, he could sense gifted energy; coming straight from Sofia.

Flynn walked out from the shrubs. His boots clicked against the brick path as he approached them.

"So, it's you."

"You're the gifted I'm looking for."
