"Oh, you are so sweet for coming to study with me," Laura giggled, "Mr. Law."

Flynn was in the library with Laura to study Macbeth with her. His real motive was to get closer to her. The more she trusted him, the better he could sense if she's gifted.

"It's nothing, really." He smiled as he looked around the giant royal library.

"Macbeth killed his king and friend. Eventually, his wife killed herself."

Flynn chimed in.
"He did all of that because he was convinced that he was destined to be king."

Laura looked at her book, "Macbeth was a tyrant no wonder he was killed by Macduff."

"Tyrant?"

"Yes, what more was he?"

Flynn looked at the book, "Well, he was tricked by the witches and fed into their
predictions of the future. If he hadn't fed into his temptations, King Duncan and his friend and wife would have still been alive."

Flynn leaned back in his chair as he looked at her, "He was never a tyrant. He merely fed into the temptation dangled in front of him. Once he was king, he feared his closest friend would betray him."

"What are you saying?"

"Even with the story painting him as this terrible king, he was still a man that felt the same feelings as everyone else. Paranoia, fear, greed. The tragedy was written, so people learn not to feed into those demons."

...

She smiled, "You are really smart."

Flynn smiled genuinely, "So I've been told."

"I guess you have to be smart in order to get into the mafia."

Flynn chuckled, "I wouldn't say that. I have this apprentice named Xander. God, if he has a brain, he doesn't use it."

She giggled as he continued, "He is determined for me to promote him, but he stumbles into every situation without a thought in his mind."

"I see..."

"People in the mafia have their strengths and weaknesses."

She rested her elbow on the table, "It's hard for me to believe you have weaknesses."

"Trust me, I have weaknesses." He laughed a little.

She didn't ask what, but she was curious to know. A man as strong, smart, and clever as him seems too perfect to have any weaknesses. So what could they be?

He glanced over at her. She sighed as she spoke, "You know... Macbeth. I relate with what you said about him."

"Hm?"

"My life has been a constant demand for perfection ever since I became the heir to the throne. I've been so stressed with the fact that I'll have to lead a whole country of my own."

Flynn listened as she continued.

"I'm seen as a perfect princess, but I don't know how I can keep that shtick up."

"At the end of the day..... you're human just like everyone else?"

"Excatly."

He looked at her with sympathy. She really was a beautiful woman with a lot of responsibility. Perfect? Definitely not. No one is perfect. However, this confession lives on the surface.

It doesn't take a genius to know she's nervous about ruling. That could be said for any leader. He would need to get closer to her if he wants his answer.
