Of all the things Anina asked for in her prayers earlier for a blessed day, seeing two white haired foreigners in the front door of their old home wasn't one of them. No, especially when her grandmother was beside her, seething silently with cold fury.
How peculiar the day was turning, and Anina could sense that it wouldn't be in her Lola's favour.
The first thing she noticed was his height. Sure, she'd seen males of varying sizes and ages in her short nineteen years of life but Anina had never seen a man this tall. Was it even possible to grow to such a stature? He doesn't look older than thirty, though. He was probably in his late twenties. With his head-turning shock of white hair and a pair of sunglasses obscuring his eyes, fending off their colors to the rest of the world as if they were a secret yet to be unfolded.
But there was also something else, a wave of energy so strong and compressed that made Anina hold onto a chair for support. It wasn't a repulsive energy though, She could not sense any malevolent intent surrounding him, which was strange considering the energy he was emitting was the same as the one who attacked her the previous night. The only difference was that his was free of anything that makes a force of energy vile.
Anina was too focused on her thoughts that she didn't noticed him staring at her, when she looked up, she saw the way his hand balled into fists beside him. She took a step back, did she somewhat offended him without her knowing? She could feel the glare from behind his glasses.
The woman beside the him sauntered in their direction and took a low bow. Anina could not help but admire how elegant and graceful the woman before her. She looked so expensive and beautiful, her long silver-blond hair was neatly tied back and she carried herself in such an authoritative and respectful manner. She looked to be in her early fifties, Yet even now, her delicate features still held the evidence of beauty in her youth.
" A pleasant morning to you and your granddaughter, Tōsan-sama."
Anina watched her grandma's hand trembled beside her as the woman addresses them.
"Gojo Akiko,"
The woman smiled, showing all of her pearly white teeth, " I am honored that the great Chiyo Tōsan knows my name," she motioned her hand behind her, '–this is my son, Satoru."
Her grandmother threw the woman a nasty look, her eyes darting from Akiko and to the young man behind her, narrowing her eyes as the old woman took him in.
" So this is the boy whom you claimed to be the wielder of the six eyes? "
Akiko's smile sharpened as her son stiffened at the mentioned of his clan's rare innate gift.
" Yes,"
Anina's grandmother hummed softly. To say that she was confused was an understatement. Anina was bewildered with all the things happening. First, who were these people? And why did her grandmother seemed to know them? Were they a distant relative she didn't know about? The woman appeared to hold a certain degree of respect towards her grandmother. She even used the word 'sama' when she addressed her grandmother. Anina didn't know much about nihongo but she knew about the basic honorifics that the japanese used.
" My son and I came here to personally talk to you about some important things. As you know, or perhaps not, the jujutsu society was in chaos some months ago–"
