Hey, so I haven't updated in a while, sorry! Also, I look away for a minute, BOOM over 800 views! Thanks guys and gals, and my non-binary pals.
This one will be kind of short. Sorry.
This one is a Bapa story. This is when they are about 16-17 ish.
Chapa was listening to her parents fight. Again.
Why couldn't they just figure out which one of them gets to keep Chapa, and be done with it?
Chapa didn't care where she went as long as it was away from all the fighting.
Chapa leaned her head back against the closet door. It creaked a little.
Dammit.
Silence. Even better, now they knew Chapa had been listening.
Again, dammit.
Chapa could see the shadow of her father's feet as he walked up to the closet door and started talking.
"Chapa, we know you're in there. Come out. We have to talk."
Chapa knew that was coming. Oh well, might as well get it over with.
The light was harsh as Chapa opened the door. She stood up and her eyes adjusted quickly.
She sighed. "Sorry. I shouldn't have-"
Her mom brushed past her dad and hugged her. "It's okay, listen..."
Chapa moved away from her.
"What? Who am I staying with?"
Her dad smiled a little. "Me. The moving truck will be here in-"
Chapa took a step closer to the wall behind her. "Woah, moving truck? Are we moving to another town or-"
Her dad smiled. "No, we're moving to Vancouver."
Chapa stopped. She stood there, for a couple seconds. Her mind was racing, trying to understand what he had just said... Something about... Vancouver.
They were moving... To Vancouver, and Chapa would have to leave all her friends, and Danger Force, and S.W.A.G... No.
Chapa looked to her mother. "Wait, are you staying here?"
Her mother nodded. "Yes, but your father thought it was best if-"
Chapa stared at her mother. "No. I'm not going. I refuse. I'm glad you're happy divorcing, but I never thought-"
Her mother had tears in her eyes. "Your father got custody. Not me. You'll see me every other weekend though-"
"No, you don't understand, I need to stay here. I'm not going."
Her dad stepped in front of Chapa's mother. "You don't have a choice. We're leaving. Go pack."
When Chapa didn't move, he yelled. "Now!"
Chapa walked off. She thought about her friends, and Bose.... No, she couldn't leave him like this. She had to tell him. right now.
Chapa left her empty bag on her bed and climbed through the window.
She ran all the way to Bose's patrol area. She spotted him, and changed into Volt in a nearby alley.
She ran up to Bose, who was Brainstorm at the moment.
His face broke into a huge smile, as she ran up to him and gave him a quick hug. They had promised Ray, that is they date it wouldn't interfere with their superhero lives.
