Throughout the night, Taehyung doesn't get a blink of sleep. Not that he minded either, if it meant being able to be there for someone like Jihu. And not until she finally decided to sleep did he decide to return to his room as well.
The long corridors of the mansion was something Taehyung always hated. The feeling of being bounded by bricks on all four sides always had him feeling claustrophobic. Which was another reason why he preferred his small apartment in Daegu over this lavish mansion any day.
In a way, he was still thankful for being given the room which was once his' already. It was nothing compared to the other rooms. Comparatively small with windows and warm lights around.
Even if it was 5 A.M. he decides to take a rather wanted bath to freshen up after the flight. Changing into something more comfortable, he sits on the bed. While drying the slightly wet ends of his hair that got wet under the shower and with a towel, he spots some magazines kept on the coffee table afar.
"He's still my brother." He recalls Jihu's words, flipping the magazine with his ex husband's face on the front page to read the contents at the back.
"She was his mother too."
Two short knocks and one long one. That had always been his way of telling Jungkook it was him outside his room. But today as he repeats that habit of his once again, he halts in embarrassment. What if he doesn't remember it?
"Come in." However, the anxiety is short-lasted as he hears the same authoritative voice. Carefully, he opens the door. And just as carefully, he shuts it after entering the room.
As if Jungkook's bedroom wasn't depressive enough, with an unnecessary quantity of black colored accessories, an upsetting walk-in closet filled with nothing but white shirts, black suits and rolex watches, the sight of Jungkook laying aimlessly in the center of the bed just adds on to the scene.
