The Golden Key

1. Discovering The Golden Key (1)

      Klein Gold is getting ready for a party at an old,-run-down house on the edge of town. He puts on his favorite shirt and checks his reflection in the mirror. He looks nervous and excited.
     When he's ready, he walks out the door and gets into his car on the way to the party, he thinks about what he'll say to Laura France, his girlfriend, and Meddy  Klass, his best friend. He wonders if there will be other people there, and he hopes they won't make fun of him like they usually do. When he gets to the house, he parks his car and walks up the front path. The house is dark and old, and the paint is peeling off the door. He takes a deep breath and knocks on the door. After a few moments, the door opens, and a tall, dark figure is standing there. The figure smiles and says, "welcome to the party". The door closes, and Klein is left alone in the dark.
      After Klein is left alone in the dark the door opens again and a woman stands in the doorway.
      It's Laura, and she's smiling at Klein. She takes his hand and leads him into the house. Klein is feeling a lily bit better, but he's still on edge. The house is eerily quiet and he can't shake the feeling that something strange is going on.
    Klein and Laura walk into the living room, only to find that everyone else is dancing and having a good time.
      Klein was looking around for Meddy, but he couldn't find her anywhere. Where is Meddy? He asked Laura. "I think she went to the kitchen to get a drink, but she's been gone for a long time".

         Meddy was in the kitchen, getting a drink of water. As she was standing at the sink, she felt a strange tingling sensation like something was tugging at her. She looked around, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
         Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a small silver box on the counter. It was like nothing she had ever seen before. She opened the box and saw a golden key inside. It was beautifully crafted. And it had strange markings on it. Meddy reached out and picked up the key, and as soon as she touched it, the markings glowed and began to move. She saw that they were forming words, but they were in a. Language she had never seen before. As she read the words " RURSUS MOTU ME EX PRAESIDIO ABSOLUTUM", they began to glow brighter and brighter until the light was blinding. Then, the key and the box both disappeared. There was nothing left on the counter. Meddy was stunned, trying to understand what had just happened. She shook her head and walked out of the kitchen. As she was walking through the living room, she noticed a figure standing in the corner. It was tall and dark, and it seemed to be looking right at her.
        Meddy froze, afraid to move. The figure was just standing there, not moving or speaking. It was completely still, but Meddy could feel a sense of power coming from it. It was as if the figure was trying to communicate with her, but she couldn't understand. She took a deep breath and slowly walked towards it, As she got closer, the figure seemed to grow taller and taller, until it was towering over her. "The figure seemed to be looking down at her but it's face was shrouded in darkness".
        Meddy couldn't see any features, but she could feel a presence coming from it. It was dark, heavy presence, like a storm cloud. She began to feel afraid and her heart started beating faster. She  thought about turning around and running out of the room, but she felt like she was frozen in place.
       Suddenly, the figure spoke, and it's voice was deep and booming. " The figure spoke in a language that Meddy didn't understand, but it sounded like a command." She felt a surge of fear and panic, and she closed her eyes, trying to block out the sound. But then, something strange happened. The words that the figure was speaking started  to change. They were still a language she didn't understand, but they sounded less like a command and more like a question. She opened her eyes, and the figure was still there, but it seemed to be less threatening. It was still tall and dark, but didn't feel like it was trying to harm. Suddenly it began to fade away until it was completely gone.

         Klein felt a twinge of worry. Something didn't feel right. I'm going to go check on her; he said Laura nodded, and Klein headed toward the kitchen.
          They saw Meddy emerge from the kitchen, her face pale and her hands shaking. Her eyes were wide and her breath was coming in quick, shallow gasps. Klein and Laura rushed to her each taking one of her hands.  " what happened?" Klein asked. Meddy tried to speak but her words came out in a jumble. ' I saw something..........it was like a......shadow...... and then her voice trailed.
