Klein and Laura could see that Meddy was becoming more and more agitated. Her eyes were darting around the room, and she kept rubbing her arms as if she were cold. "Let's get you out of here" Klein said, taking Meddy by the arm. They led her to a quiet corner of the room, away from the hustle and bustle of the party. "Now, just tell us what happened, "Laura said gently. " we won't judge you, I promise".
Meddy took a deep breath and began to explain;
"I picked up the golden key and it started to glow. The next thing I knew the key was gone. I thought I must have imagined it"
Klein and Laura looked at each other, but neither of them said anything. I think we should take you home, " Klein said. "You're obviously. Eye upset, and we don't want you to get sick. Meddy nodded, and they all went outside to get into Klein's car. As they drove, Meddy sat in silence, lost in thought.
After they arrived at Meddy's house, Klein and Laura helped her inside and made her a cup of tea. As she sat in the living room, Meddy tried to explain what happened "it's not that I think you're lying, "Klein said, " but it just doesn't make sense. " I know it doesn't'' Meddy replied. "But it's true. I know it is"
Klein told her to her to relax and they will visit her tomorrow.
Klein and Laura left Meddy's house and headed home. As they drove Klein couldn't stop thinking about what Meddy had told them. He just couldn't believe that such a thing could be possible. But a part of him wondered if there could be some truth in her story. Meanwhile, Laura was trying to convince Klein that it was just a story, and that there was no need to go hack to the house. But Klein mind was made up.
The next day around 8pm, Klein and Laura pulled up to the old house, their nerves on edge. It was dark and quiet, and the only sound was the wind rustling through the trees. They got out from the car and approached the front door, it was an old, wooden door, and it creaked as they opened it. They stepped inside, their hearts pounding. As Klein and Laura stepped into the house, they weee hit by a wave of musty air. It smelled like dust and old books. The only light came from the moon shiny through the windows. "Klein the house looks different now and more scary compare to yesterday, I mean it looks like everything changed in just one night. We should go back I don't like it here" Laura said. "Don't worry the decorations of the party made it look's perfect yesterday, everything will b fine, it's just an old abandon house".Klein replied as he tried to calm Laura down. Meanwhile he was also scared.
They made their way to the kitchen, their steps echoing on the wooden floor. As they entered the kitchen, they saw something they hadn't noticed before. The floor was covered in a layer of dust, but there was a clear path through it, as if someone has walked through recently. The hairs in the back of their necks stood up. Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from upstairs. Klein and Laura froze in terror as they heard footsteps coming from the second floor. Then, they heard a creak open. Was someone up there? They didn't dare to breathe let alone move. The footsteps started to descend the stairs. Klein and Laura held each other, their hearts pounding so hard they could barely hear anything else.
Then, they saw a figure in the shadows, coming down the stairs. And they were surprised to see the person!
