The warlocks brow furrowed in concentration 'I don't know, but my portal is malfunctioning. We're stuck.
Klein's eyes scanned their surroundings, but before he could respond, a figure enveloped on light approached them. The darkness seemed to recoil, as if intimidated by the figure's presence.
Oddly, only Klein could see the figure. 'Hurry up, more darkness is coming,' the figure warned, it's voice low and urgent. 'Find the truth, and you'll find the key. But be prepared to lose precious ones dear to you.
Klein's eyes widened as the figure vanished, leaving him with more questions than answers."
As soon as the mysterious figure vanished, the portal activated, and they found themselves back in their world. Meddy and Laura noticed Klein's shocked expression and approached him with concern.
"It worked! We're back in our world, thank goodness, "Laura said, relief evident in her voice. "But Klein, you seem lost.
Klein's eyes were still fixed in the spot where the figure disappeared "Didn't you guys see him?" " he asked, his voice laced with confusion.
"See who?" Meddy asked, exchanging a worried glances with Laura.
"He said... Find the truth and you'll find the golden key," Klein recounted his brow furrowed in thought. "But prepared to lose precious ones dear to you."
Meddy's eyes widened. "Truth? What truth?"
Laura turned to Dalai, her curiosity evident. "Dalai, do you understand what's going on? What does it even mean"
Dalai's expression was enigmatic. I'm not sure, "he said, his tone unconvincing. It seemed like he knew more than he was letting on. "We need to go" Dalai said abruptly, his eyes darting around the area.
"Nowhere is safe now," Meddy said, her voice laced with concern.
"We can go to my granny's place, "Laura suggested. "It's empty, and we can regroup there.
As they headed towards the granny's place, Klein's mind raced with questions. What truth were they supposed to find?
Laura noticed Klein's distant expression and took his hand. "Hey, don't worry about it, Klein. We'll find the truth. We've come this far, and we'll survive. We'll win. Just know you've got me by your side, and I love you alot."
Klein smiles slightly, feeling a sense of comfort with Laura's reassurance. Meddy and Dalai walked ahead, their eyes scanning the surroundings, ever vigilant.
