Harry arrived at the coffee shop to meet Louis' attorney, Harry didn't know what he was doing, but he did know that he was going to try everything he can to get Louis back.
"Hi, Miss. Wilcox?" "Yeah?" she said
"I'm Harry" he said shaking Amanda's hand, sitting down across from her.
"Harry? is that short for something?" She asked, taking her glasses out of her briefcase, and putting them on her face.
"Harold, but I prefer Harry" He said, shifting around in his seat, trying to get comfortable.
"Alright, well Harry these are old documents of cases where teachers have had intimate relationships with their students" she said, handing him 5 sheets of paper. "We can look through these and see how they handled their trial"
Harry looked through 2 sheets and she looked through the rest.
"How is this going to help Louis?" Asked Harry.
"Well, I've never had this case before, but my employees have, so we are looking through their cases to see how they handled them" She said pushing her glasses up on her nose.
"This one says that the student had proof of consent" Harry said handing her the sheet
"Well do you have any proof that you were all in with this relationship?" She asked taking a sip of her coffee, wiping the creamer it left on her top lip.
"No, but I have texts proving that I wanted to go on the date" He said.
"Let me see these texts" She said, putting her hand out in front of him
" Well, you're telling him where to pick you up, that's not really proof of you wanting to go" She said, scrolling through his texts with Louis.
" But doesn't that prove that I knew about the date and was willing to go?" He asked.
" In your eyes and mine yes, but the court? I'm not so sure" She said handing him back his phone.
"Well what do we do? keep looking through old cases?" He asked
"We could, or can you get actual proof that you gave consent?" She asked
"No" Harry said placing his hands on his head
"Did anyone hear you give consent to Louis?" She asked
"No, Wait, yes my friend Niall!" He said
"Great! then all he would need to do is testify!" She said grabbing all the documents and putting them back in her briefcase.
"Wait that's it?" He asked getting up
"Yeah, if you can get proof that you wanted this and that Louis is not forcing you to date him, then Louis gets out of jail and you two can live happily ever after" She said aiming for the door.
"Okay, I'll talk to Niall, thank you so much Miss Wilcox" He said shaking her hand.
"You're welcome Harry, but I can't promise you it will work. But it's worth a shot" She said smiling softly, and walked out the door.
