Chapter 7: The End Of The World

As Bardock and Frieza both formulated this plan, Bardock was already on his way to find a coalition. he wasn't usually one for politics or anything, so never had a feeling one way or the other, in his mind both king vegeta and Frieza were tyrannical, but at least frieza never ordered the culling of his or anyone else's children because of the fear of someone taking the throne by force. no, frieza was so sure of his power that there was no need, but it seemed now even frieza's might was in question. Bardock got to work telling anyone who gave him the time of day his warnings about frieza, he traveled to remote areas picking up more rebels including his friends. but realistically only his friends were up in total arms about it, but it didn't matter as long as he had a small grouping.

in the meantime king vegeta was practically at frieza's doorstep. he quickly infiltrated the ship with a good dozen of his finest soldiers making quick work of a fair share of the low powered grunts. as soon as he approached the door to where Frieza was he found the emperor and zarbon already waiting for his arrival. much to the king's surprise.

"ah, yes king vegeta....i was expecting you ages ago really, you sure do take a while to form a- rather ragtag group don't you?"

the soldiers were all turning blue with fear

"enough of this Frieza why did you let the girl live? you endangered us all!"

king vegeta stated bluntly but Frieza was having none of it, only having this conversation now to buy time. in fact it wouldn't be long now dodoria, who was unaware of the plan had just received word of a rebellion attacking a fleet of frieza soldiers and so he left to deal with this nuisance.

"I endangered you? coming from the man who bolstered his army so much that it upset the universal balances, so much so that it woke up the destroyer in the first place. you only didn't want the girl to live because she was a future threat only to you am i incorrect?"

frieza said as he slammed his tail against the ground making the ship jostle and the floor crack

"this is treasonous you know...and you will pay for it dearly"

friezas voice darkened and in no less than one swift motion the king was knocked up into the air with an uppercut. he was dead before he evem hit the ground. the rest of the soldiers were blasted into nothingness as well. this didn't serve to make frieza feel any better about the situation but he at least got some justice for shima and thats all he cared about. once he returned to lucidity, frieza quickly tried to get contact with bardock, knowing that dodoria wouldn't waste time with anyone. he wasn't answering but his life signs that were connected into the ship's computer showed he was still alive, just knocked out. it didn't take long however for his voice on the other end to painfully speak up

"ugh-...bastard got me good-, my comrades are all...gone...but, now i see a gathering of saiyans close by to your ship...its almost time, i just hope that gine is close to the pods now"

bardock said before violently coughing up blood

frieza sighed softly

"i have faith in that....it's time to wrap things up now, let's make this convincing"

bardock silently nodded before slowly flying up getting ahead of all of the other soldiers.

on the planet below, shima's mother gine was flying with shima as fast as she could to the pods, their hub was fairly far away from their home. there were many soldiers and civilians alike vying for a spot. there was no way gine would get one for shima from the main area and she gave up getting one for herself entirely. thinking fast she found one in the repairs area, the location system seemed to be the only thing needing work still. she readied the coordinates and the pod connected to frieza's ship communications. she also put the pod into stasis mode and quickly packed in as much rations of formula as possible. before putting shima in and strapping her in. the stasis got to work putting shima to sleep so she wouldn't see anything happen.

"goodbye, my daughter...i leave you with this-"

gine said as she put a little comet hairclip in the long part of shima's bangs keep them out of her eyes and leaving a note with her name and age on it before finally shutting the pod door. she then had to jump start the thing, and get it off the ground

with bardock now in front of the ship, frieza slowly got out of it, seated in his throne-like pod. he rid himself of his emotions, leaving him only with anger.

"oh my, look at this rebellion you managed to create, i must say im impressed"

frieza said with a smirk, only bardock could see the shear pain behind his eyes

"we don't work for you anymore, you hear me? we quit!"

bardock yelled out before forming a small ball of blue ki in his hand

"this is for all the people you mercilessly killed! here have it!!"

but before it reached frieza he had already set up his super nova, absorbing the ki. frieza then completely broke laughing like a maniac as the ki got bigger and bigger

gine could see the ball of ki, and worked even faster. back on the ship zarbon was monitoring shima's location but it kept cutting out.

frieza then launched his super nova right at the planet with bardock becoming the first casualty, but he had a smile on his face as he was evaporated. with only moments to spare shimas pod launched out into space, but the location wasn't seen after the super nova touched down, leading zarbon to believe that shima had been caught in the blast

frieza returned into the ship hoping for some good news from zarbon but, he had a somber look on his face and just shook his head.

the whole ship rocked and tilted with frieza's power going off of the charts. he was losing his mind. and he was like that for days after the fact. never again did shima's pod come back online as much as frieza had hoped it would.
