Camp Shallow Lake had been interesting to say the least. The summer that Summer Jones thought would have been the best summer ever. But it turned out to have been an absolute nightmare. After her break up with Richard Bowen, all she wanted was to escape the drama of East High School, but the drama just followed her. Her ex boyfriend showing up to camp and doing everything in his power to win her back. But none of it worked. Summer Jones and Richard Bowen both returned to East High in the same position they were in before the holiday. Broken up.

Summer was getting her books from her locker when Ricky walks up to her. "Hey." Ricky says. "What do you want, Richard?" Summer asks. "Can we just talk. Please." Ricky asks. Summer shakes her head and rolls he eyes. "I really don't want to talk to you, Ricky. We're over, can't you just accept that?" Summer asks. "No. No I can't." Ricky says. "Because I don't want us to be over. Look, I know what I did was incredibly wrong. But I love you, so much and I can't lose you." "Ricky..." Summer sighs. "Yeah?" Ricky asks, hope laced in his voice. "You've already lost me." Summer says, closing her locker. Summer adjusts the strap of her backpack on her shoulder before glancing at Ricky then walking away.

After the announcement of the new 'High School Musical' movie all the girls were bouncing off the walls. They were even more excited after finding out that Summer had met Mack when she went to California. "Come on. Go talk to him. This is your chance!" Alice tells Summer, causing the brunette to laugh. "Yes, I'm over Ricky and all but we only just broke up." Summer says. "You broke up nearly 3 months ago. And him and Dani are 100% going to break up soon. I say you go for it." Ashlyn says. "If I talk to him will you guys finally shut up about it?" Summer asks. "Yes. We'll shut up about it." Kourtney says. "Fine." Summer sighs, jokingly rolling her eyes at her best friends, before walking over to Mack who had just finished talking to Quinn.
While Summer was laughing and talking with Mack, Ricky Bowen couldn't help but stare at the pair from afar. "You really have to move on, Ricky." Gina tells him, causing Ricky to look down and sigh. "I can't, G. I love her." Ricky says. "I love her so much it hurts." "I know." Gina says, pulling the curly haired boy into a hug. "I'm sorry." "It's okay." Ricky says, pulling away from the hug. "Hey, why don't we go out for dinner tomorrow. Get your mind off everything." Gina suggests. "That would be nice." Ricky says, a small smile on her lips. "Perfect. Pick me up at 6." Gina says, before walking away.

It had been 3 years since Summer's senior year. After she had got the role in the fourth 'High School Musical' movie, her acting career sky rocketed. She became one of the most famous actresses in the world. She started dating Mack during the filming of 'High School Musical 4' and they had been together every since. Mack had proposed to her 6 months ago and she said yes. Her wedding was in a week and was taking place in Salt Lake. So here Summer was walking down the streets of Salt Lake City for the first time in 3 years. As Summer was walking down the road, she ran into the last person she expected to see. Richard Bowen. "Ricky, hey." Summer says. "Summer, hi." Ricky replies. "How have you been? How are things with you and Gina?" Summer asks. "We broke up a year ago. But I've been okay." Ricky says. "What about you?" "Things have been great to be honest. Uhm... me and Mack are getting married next week. Uhm... someone cancelled last minute, you should come. There's even a spare place for you to bring a date if you want." Summer says, with a small laugh. "Uhm... thanks." Ricky says. "I got to go, have a meeting with the wedding planner. Hope to see you there." Summer says, going to walk away. "Sum." Ricky says, causing Summer to turn back to him as he takes a couple steps forward. "Do you think things would be different if there wasn't so much in our way when we were together." "I do. I really do." Summer says, with a small smile. Summer looks at Ricky for a moment longer before nodding her head slightly then walking away.
