After John B and Cora had successfully stolen the gold, John B was celebrating when he turned to Cora who was looking down at her hip. John B follow her gaze to see blood, causing his breath to catch in his throat. "I've been shot."

John B had gotten Cora to a doctor and he did everything he could to save the blonde but it was no use. Cora Cameron was gone. John B had tried to resurrect her even after the doctor had given up but it was no use. When John B reunited with the Pogues, he broke down sobbing as he gave them the news. Sarah's legs gave out causing JJ to catch her and comfort her on the floor as Pope and Kiara comforted John B.

After the News of Cora's death the group all went their separate ways.
Pope focused on his studies and helping his dad in the shop. In his mind he was doing it for Cora. To make her proud.
Kiara had gone completely silent. It was like she was a ghost. She didn't hang out with the Pogues or the Kooks. With her best friend gone she didn't know where she belonged, so she settled for being invisible.
JJ had turned to alcohol to ease the pain of losing the girl he saw as his sister. This lead to him getting beaten up by his dad a lot more frequently as it was his alcohol that JJ had been drinking. Although he no longer felt any pain when his dad punched and kicked him until he was nearly unconscious, because nothing would amount to the pain he felt at the thought of Cora no longer being around.
Sarah had gone back to hanging with the Kooks. It hurt to see how quickly everyone moved on from her cousins death. But, without Cora around she felt like these were the people she belonged with. She had moved back in with her family no matter how much she hated it. If it was up to her she would run away to a place far away from OBX and never look back. But she felt the need to be there for Wheezie. No matter how much the memories of Cora hurt.
John B had completely gone off the grid. He never left the Cheatu unless it was to get food and drink. First he lost his dad and now the love of his life. He couldn't lose anyone else. So he shut himself off completely. He made a memorial for Cora outside by one of the trees which he sat by every day for hours on end, talking to her about anything and everything. He wrote her letters which he sat their and read to her. He couldn't get the image of Cora on the table, officially gone, out of his head. He missed her like crazy. He no longer went on boat rides as it hurt him to much to do anything he use to do with the girl he lost.

The day of Cora's funeral had come. Cora's body was brought back to OBX, and now 3 months later all of OBX were gathered to say their final goodbyes. The priest gave an amazing speech before Cora's coffin was lowered into the ground.
After the funeral everyone gathered at the Cameron house. Kiara, Pope and JJ were stood around a table when Sarah walks over to them. "Hey." Sarah says, with a small smile. "Hey." JJ replies, giving her a hug. "How you holding up?" Kiara asks, hugging the blonde tightly. "It's extremely hard but I'm getting by." Sarah answers. "I just have to be there for Wheezie at the moment. That's the only thing that's getting me through." As Pope and Sarah were hugging John B walks up to them. "Hey." John B says quietly. "Hey, man." JJ says, pulling him into a hug. The group all hug before standing round the table catching up.
The group started spending more time together again after the funeral. The Cameron girl was a big part of their group and without her... there was now a huge hole that no one else would ever be able to fill.
