She knew the risks. She knew the risks a year and a half ago when this all started. Yet Blakeley Hayes accepted the risks. The blonde would do anything to keep her sister and her friends safe. Even if that mean getting herself killed.
There Blakeley layer on the floor of Starcourt mall, the Mind Flayer towering above her. Blakeley placed a hand on her shoulder looking down at the blood that was flowing out of the gash the Mind Flayer had left. At this point Blakeley was laying in a pool of her own blood. That's when she knew. It was over for her.

2 months after the Battle of Starcourt Mall had taken place. Otherwise known as 2 months since Blakeley Hayes was killed by the Mind Flayer, in a selfless act to try and save Eleven. Pretty much all of Hawkins attended her funeral. Steve Harrington stood with Nancy Wheeler, Jonathan Byers and Robin Buckley as everyone watched as Blakeley's coffin was lowered into the ground. Tears flowed down the boys face as he watched the love of his life officially disappear. Robin placed a hand on his back rubbing it gently as Steve wipped away his tears. As everyone went their separate ways, Steve found himself heading straight for the girl who had become his little sister, and not only because she was his girlfriends sister. As soon as the girl was in arms reach, Steve pulled Harper into a hug, which is when the teen finally let her tears flow. Harper sobbed into the boys shoulder, Steve having to hold his own tears back to remain strong for Harper.

After Blakeley Hayes death no one thought it could get any worse. But they couldn't possibly be more wrong. A few months after the blondes funeral Vecna returned to seek revenge on Hawkins, finding it in killing Christy Cunningham, Fred Benson and Patrick Mckinny, as well as cursing Max Mayfield and Harper Hayes. Vecna was on a rampage, meanwhile the group were on a rampage of their own, doing anything they could to end Vecna.
"I'll be the bait. I'll distract him while you guys Kill him." Max tells the group, causing Steve to instantly shake his head. "No. No. No." Steve tells her. "What other choice do we have?" Max asks. "We'll find another way, that doesn't involve anyone else dying." Steve replies. "We don't have time for that, Steve." Max argues. "Don't you want to get revenge for what he did to Blakeley?" "Of course I do. But I know Blake wouldn't want one of us dying to do so." Steve says. "Can you guys just stop fighting!" Harper snaps, having enough of people talking about her dead sister. "Sorry, Harps." Max says, wrapping an arm around her girlfriends shoulder, pulling her in her side. The group was slowly falling apart without Blakeley. Everyone was constantly fighting with each other. The only thing that was keeping them together at the moment was Vecna. Blakeley was the glue of the group and without her the group would soon be done. Left in the past. Half the group had already moved out of Hawkins because of the trauma that was there.
The group knew whatever they did, wouldn't bring Blakeley back. But they knew it would make her proud, and that's all they wanted to do. To make Blakeley proud and to not move on and forget her, but to learn to live without her, which would be incredibly hard, but with each other, they knew they would eventually be able to do it.
