I blinked and yawned. New Years! I opened my eyes and saw Charlie's chest. I looked around me. Him. His arms wrapped around me and a leg was thrown over me too. I couldn't move if I wanted to. I looked up and saw Bill pulling on a shirt.

"Bill," I whispered. He looked over and laughed. I frowned and wiggled, trying to get out. He walked over and tilted his head. I stopped and looked at him.

"Hey, princess," I rolled my eyes. "Stop wiggling, Charlie has an iron grip you know that," I shrugged.

"I thought maybe I could slip out," I said. He laughed and looked out the window.

"Mom isn't up yet, it's too early so you should be fine," I sighed and looked at Charlie's face. Freckles across his face, his red messy hair. His chest rose and fell with a rhythm. "I'm off to throw the gnomes, have fun," I sighed as he walked out. I looked back at Charlie, I thought about his laugh, his love, and the light in his eyes when he got an idea. I loved it all. He muttered and hugged me tighter. I sighed and put my head down on his chest.

His plain white shirt was stained from yesterday. He took me on a walk through the woods then tripped trying to be funny. I smiled at the memory. Charlie muttered again and sighed. His eyes slightly opened. He looked at me and tilted his head, as best he could while horizontal. He smiled and closed his eyes again. I laughed and hit his shoulder.

"Charlie, come on," I said. He groaned and opened his eyes. "We need to get up," I said. He grinned.

"Alright," he detangled from me and stood up. I sat up as he threw on his shoes. "You know what day it's?" He asked. I rolled my eyes standing up and stretching.

"New Year's, January first. I leave today," I said. He nodded.

"Perfect, then come on," he grabbed my hand and pulled me downstairs I laughed and followed. I had to leave today, so Charlie and I agreed to make the most of this morning. We walked out the back door and to the brooms. "Take one and keep up," I took one and followed as we took to the sky. The sun was just rising as we flew. The sky was perfectly pink. He stopped hovering in the air. I stopped next to him and sighed.

"I know you're leaving soon but I wish we had more time," I nodded.

"I know, me too," He looked over.

"Kait, I had our whole future planned," he sighed. I looked over, and my heart pounded. Our future.

"Our future?" He scratched his neck.

"Sure, you've always been in my future Kaitlyn," he said. I smiled.

"I've always imagined you in mine," I said. "But I'm moving. Char-" he cut me off by leaning over and kissing me. I smiled into it.

"What were you saying," he asked. I laughed.

"I'm moving," he frowned.

"I obviously didn't kiss you well enough, you should have forgotten," he said. I sighed and watched him. His shaggy red hair blew in the wind.

"Charlie, do you want to have a relationship?" He looked at me with a confused expression.

"I thought I made that evident," he laughed. I sighed.

"I still don't get it," I said dully. He sighed.

"Kaitlyn, I want to date you, then marry you, then grow old together, Merlin," he laughed. I stared at him with my mouth open.

"Charlie," he laughed softly.

"Was that too forward?" I shook my head.

"Perfect,"
