This is the only form of knowledge that is guidance. All other knowledge is just information, even Islamic knowledge.
It gives me the chills whenever I hear mention of being spiritually bereft even after having studied a lot of Islamic knowledge. When I listen to Islamic lectures meant for scholarly students, and hear advice aimed at developing them spiritually and keeping them on the straight path, I am in awe. There was a time I used to imagine that studying Islam gave you wings. It doesn't. You have to discover your own wings through time, effort and understanding. Only then can you fly.
