The next morning, we bid farewell to Ajie and embarked on our journey. Ahzhuo's attentiveness towards me was palpable; he was constantly looking out for me and asking if I needed anything. He even assisted me with my luggage at the airport, showing his caring nature. As we made our way to the beach, the wind whipped fiercely, tousling the girls' hair. Although I didn't have bangs to worry about, my hair still got tangled in the gusts. Walking beside Ahzhuo, I caught his gaze, and he glanced back at me. "Is my hair messed up?" I inquired. He halted, causing me to stop, and then stepped closer to fix my hair. "It looked good, don't worry," he reassured me with a smile before we resumed our stroll.
We arrived at the beach to find nothing but a whiteboard welcoming us to Sanya. There were no hotels or inns in sight, leaving everyone perplexed. Meng Meng suggested, "We will probably camp then?" The guys seemed excited about the prospect, but the girls appeared less enthused. Determined, we set about erecting tents, battling against the relentless winds. Ahzhuo helped me keep my hair out of my face as we struggled with the tents. Once we finally managed to set them up, we organized the interiors. Later, Ahzhuo called out to me from outside my tent. As I emerged, I accidentally hit my head on a cable, prompting me to cry out in pain. Ahzhuo rushed to my side, rubbing my head and asking if I was alright.
We joined the others who were discussing dinner plans. Some began cooking while the rest of us gathered to chat. Meng Meng and Feier sat down, leaving me to ponder where to sit when Ahzhuo came up behind me and gestured to an empty chair beside Feier. Thinking he was about to sit there, I was surprised when he looked at me and said, "Yiyi, come here. You can sit here." Gratefully, I joined him, and he pulled out the chair for me. Just as I settled down, Feier suggested, "Why don't you sing something?" Before I could respond, Ahzhuo interjected, "I'll go get an instrument." He returned with a melodica and positioned his chair closer to mine. As he started playing, Meng Meng joked, "What song is that? The theme song of Country Love?" Ahzhuo chuckled and explained it was from an anime.
Feier then asked if he knew any other songs, and Ahzhuo began to play another tune. Just as we started singing, Bobo interrupted with a random question about eggs, breaking the mood. Ahzhuo stopped playing, remarking, "He ruined the vibe." Everyone agreed, and I couldn't help but nod in agreement. Shortly after, Jerry joined us, adding to the awkwardness of the situation. I found myself sandwiched between Feier and Ahzhuo, with Jerry seated beside Ahzhuo, creating an uneasy atmosphere.
Yaya and Hui Hui were busy cooking together, their camaraderie evident as they worked in harmony. Meng Meng, seated with us, remarked, "Yaya looks like a mother today. If there's someone I like, then I probably would be like her as well. Not a mother, but... a sister maybe." Ahzhuo, ever thoughtful, posed a question, "Do you think there's a big difference in your personality when you are in love compared to when you're not?" Meng Meng glanced at me and prompted, "Yiyi, why don't you answer him?" I chuckled, asking, "Why me?" But then I turned to Ahzhuo and shared, "I don't change, but I feel like when I am in a relationship, I become more outgoing and talkative when I am with the person I love." Meng Meng nodded in agreement, adding, "Me too. I tend to think about things."
Ahzhuo reflected, "I don't think I change. I stay the same. That's why some girls think I am the friend type." I gazed at him earnestly and confessed, "Not me. I like you just the way you are." Ahzhuo's smile lit up the room, while Meng Meng and Feier couldn't contain their joy, letting out delighted squeals. Jerry grinned at my words as Ahzhuo continued, "When you're in a relationship, some might think that you're not dependable enough or you don't pay attention." Without hesitation, I refuted, "No, you are attentive and dependable. Today, you helped me with my luggage and pulled my hair back from my face." With newfound resolve, I stood up, dragging my chair right beside him, and sat down, offering him my hand.
