After the filming of "Twinkle Love" came to an end, we all dispersed back to our respective lives. For me, it meant diving back into my passion for acting, immersing myself in theater roles, and honing my craft. Long-term aspirations of becoming an actress fueled my determination, and despite numerous offers from agents seeking to represent me, I declined them all. I believed that I needed to continue to grow independently before committing to any professional affiliations.
Instead, I ventured into advertisement work within the media industry, gaining valuable insight into the workings behind the camera. I cherished the autonomy I had in managing my career and didn't feel ready to relinquish it just yet.
As for Ahzhuo, he remained a constant presence in my life, his affections mirroring those displayed on the show. Despite his busy schedule preparing to study abroad, he made efforts to pursue me, often making the journey to meet me, considering we lived an hour apart. His clinginess, a trait both endearing and comforting, manifested in thoughtful gestures like daily "good morning" and "good night" texts, along with his attentiveness to my meals and sleep schedule. Despite his clinginess, he respected my need for space, allowing our relationship to flourish naturally.
Our bond deepened as we shared our lives, and I found myself drawn to his easygoing nature and genuine companionship. Spending time together felt effortless and fulfilling, and we made sure to include our friends in our gatherings whenever possible. Yaya and Huihui's relationship remained strong, Bobo exuded happiness, and Meng Meng and Konglong maintained their playful dynamic. Feier and Jerry were growing closer, while Ajie radiated happiness in her pursuits.
As we each pursued our paths, one thing remained certain: we were all moving forward, embracing life's opportunities, and finding happiness along the way.
After a few months of filming, the producers and directors of the show summoned us for a special episode where we would meet the panelists of "Twinkle Love." Representing the girls were Meng Meng, Feier, and myself, while Konglong, Bobo, and Ahzhuo represented the guys, naturally. As we deliberated on how to make our entrance, I felt a bit shy and suggested, "You guys go at the front, I will enter last." Everyone agreed, understanding my apprehension. Konglong led the way, followed by Meng Meng, Feier, Bobo, and Ahzhuo. After they entered, Ahzhuo surprised me by coming back and taking my hand, leading me outside from behind the curtains. Upon seeing all the panelists, I felt a rush of shyness, but I managed to greet them with a simple "hi" and wave. Hsiao seemed somewhat happy, and I noticed Sunnee asking him, "What's wrong with you?" to which Hsiao replied, "Nothing." As we settled down, I took a seat in the outer corner of the sofa, and Ahzhuo sat on the floor, leaning against the sofa beside me.
As we settled down, the host, Da Zuo, instructed, "Please introduce yourself one by one." Konglong began since he was positioned on the far left. Following Konglong, Bobo introduced himself, then Ahzhuo, and I went next, followed by Meng Meng, and finally Feier. After the introductions, Da Zuo inquired, "Did you watch the show?" We all nodded in agreement, acknowledging that we had. Da Zuo followed up, asking, "Did you feel embarrassed?" We all confessed to varying degrees, with Feier sharing, "I watched the first episode in secret so no one would know." Da Zuo then turned to Ahzhuo, inquiring, "What about Ahzhuo? Did you watch it?" I glanced at Ahzhuo, awaiting his response. He replied, "I did. I watched the third episode with my roommates." Da Zuo pressed further, asking, "What did your roommates say?" Ahzhuo's answer evoked laughter from everyone as he recounted, "My roommates said: 'Are you out of your mind?'" Da Zuo then turned to Konglong, posing the same question. Konglong responded, "I did, it felt bitter."
Da Zuo directed his attention toward me, mentioning, "Yiyi, we just watched the final two episodes today." I smiled in response, though my cheeks flushed with embarrassment as Hsiao mimicked one of my emotional moments from the show, causing me to look away shyly. Da Zuo continued, "We are curious about everyone's relationship right now." Hsiao asked, "Did you guys still keep in touch after the filming?" All of us girls affirmed, and Ahzhuo chimed in, "They even quarreled yesterday," though it was Konglong and Meng Meng who had argued the previous night. Da Zuo then announced, "I'll be straightforward then, we should ask about the things we care about the most," leaving all of us tensed, anticipating the impending question.
