IVAN SAYS YES TO THE NANNY

Chapter 18

Hazel's POV
Jordan's alcohol stench fans over my face. I resist the urge to puke. I try to push him off me. There is something different about him today. He looks unhinged. He grabs my hand so tightly that I am sure it will leave marks but I bite back a grimace .

"What the hell are doing ? Get off me Jordan. "

"I told you Hazel I am here to win you back . But you decided to fuck it all . You are fucking that man ? Aren't you ? That's so cheap ." He says with disgust .

"Yes ! I am fucking that man . Is that what you wanted to hear ? " I shout .

"How could you do that , baby . It's not like you. Hazel look I know you love me. You are just angry with me. I am ready to mend things. Just come back to me, baby ." He says gently. Jordan knows shouting at me won't work. So he is using a different tactic to handle me.
Fucking great ! Such a manipulator .

"No, Jordan. I never loved you. Can't you see I am with Ivan. He makes me happy like you never did. I treats me respectly. That man acknowledges my work. He motivates me to pursue my dream. He believes in me that I can become a writer while you fucking never did. You always mocked at me that I could never achieve anything. I should stop living on clouds. You want to know more ? I will tell you. That man understands me. He knows how to make me happy when I am on my low ."
One day I went for a meeting with a publication . The publisher was not ready to publish my book . So when I got back home . Ivan was reading a book . Closing the book he looked at me . He didn't even asked me how the meeting went .He just pulled me into his lap and rubbed my back while hugging my body. I felt so disoriented from that meeting . But when he hugged me I felt his warm comfort . I melted under his soft touch . I broke down and cried on his chest . And he just held me tightly . Later that day I told him that I don't think I can continue any longer . He just looked me in the eyes and said ," Sunshine , I have read your book and I think it's a masterpiece. Just because you are not getting a publisher who can truly acknowledge your work doesn't mean you don't have the talent . Don't give up that easily . I am sure you will get a publisher soon ."
His trust in me motivated me . I even managed to get a publication that was ready to work with me .

"Hazel, I fucking love you . Can't you see ." He growls. Snapping me out of that beautiful memory .

"I don't want to talk to you. Get lost ." I pushed at his chest . He pulls me back and slams me so powerfully into the wall that me head hit the wall. I wince at the sudden pain.
Jordan is in a maniac mood. He doesn't even acknowledge what he did. He just slams his lips on mine. I try to wrench my face back but I can't even move . He has his disgusting hands on my face .

Suddenly all the weight is lifted of me . I see Ivan grabbing Jordan by his collar. He punches his stomach then pummels Jordan's face. He punches him so hard that blood starts gushing out of his face. I watched the scene with horror. I am more worried because of what Ivan must have seen.
Fuck ! Ivan might think I was cheating on him . Why did this happen to me ? Everything that is good in my life turns into a blunder . Why God ? I need to explain everything to Ivan . I can't loose him . I just can't . The thought of him out of my life makes my head spin . I want to cry . No I will just explain him . It will be alright .

Ivan stands there looking at now unconscious Jordan . I put my hand gently on his shoulder.
" Ivan , I can ex-- "
" Don't . " He turns around to look at me . SHIT ! SHIT ! THIS IS BAD . HE is not even ready to hear me .

I close my eyes , my head start is spinning at this fucked up situation . Pair of hands gently place on my face . Wiping away tears . I didn't even realize I was crying . I pear my eyes open to find Ivan looking at me calmly .

" I-I c-can explain ." I try again .

"No, Sunshine . I don't need any explanation . That day when I just left you after this asshole called you . I was insecure. And I am sorry for leaving you stranded. But I am not that man anymore, Hazel. I want you to know that I trust you." Those words lift off all the pressure weighing me down . He leans in wiping Jordan trace off my lips with his fingers. And finally kissing me on the lips .

" Now tell me Did he hurt you somewhere ? Or rather you can tell me what he did so I can beat him more . " he says seriously.
Smiling I hug him ," I am tired. Can we just go."

" OK , Sunshine ." He just pecks my lips .
We start to walk for the exit door when I abruptly stop and turn around towards the asshole . I walk upto him then kick him for a good measure ."This is for trying to ruin my relationship ." Then another kick ."This is for kissing me without my permission ." Jordan groans loud in pain. Good riddance

Then I walk back to Ivan . Entwine my fingers with his and say ," Let's go home ."
