Author's Note: welcome to a new fan fiction of mine fellow readers. Decided to do another story that I originally done on Quotev yet I've made a few differences to the story as well. I don't own any of the characters from DC and this story is mainly playing out from both the Quotev story and how things go in my head. Made the cover using MS Paint and I hope you guys enjoy my new story.

The ringing of her alarm clock woke her up from whatever dream she was trying to still have. The brunette grumbling and groaning as part of her still wanted to sleep for just a little bit longer, silencing the alarm clock and smiling that it was now quiet again. Yet she completely forgot as to why she had turned it on in the first place. Another yawn escaped from inside her and soon she was back to being asleep again. Teo had a complicated life living in a small town thanks to things she wasn't really sure she was in control of. But even though she now lived in Gotham, she felt that some of her problems had followed her to the big city. The sound of morning traffic getting busy woke her up again and she checked her alarm clock seeing she had fallen asleep again for about an hour and a half. "Why did I want to wake up so early in the morning?" she asked herself. The only company being her three teddy bears inside her apartment. Teo did her morning routine and put on her favourite hoodie to finish off her outfit for the day. Checking her phone before she remembered why she'd set her alarm clock last night. Teo rushed downstairs to where all the mail was put, a slight smile on her lips before she saw there was nothing and her smile instantly vanished choosing to go back to her apartment in defeat. The brunette decided to try and enjoy her breakfast as her stomach asked to be filled. But as if on que her phone rang showing it was her brother. "Hey dork. How's life?" he asked. The two siblings trying to still be nice to each other. Even though they both knew what things would annoy at least one of them. As they continued to talk she decided to make a cup of coffee for herself. Only to frown internally even more when she saw it was all gone.

She said goodbye to her brother saying he hoped his job interview in Star City went well, before telling him she was going to a nearby coffee shop. "Okay Teo, enjoy Gotham...but try to fight for a better life if you want it" Jack said before saying he knew his sister was a doormat to others. Teo left her apartment again and saw that Gotham was like how it usually was: everyone else trying to get from point a to point b during the day some how, doing whatever to get themselves paid and then doing whatever they wanted within reason when the night life of the city began. The brunette just started walking down the block when she saw a parcel with her name on it and scowled realising what had happened. "At least it's intact" she thought as she took her item out and decided to take it with her to the coffee shop. The brunette grumbled that her parents would see this as proof she couldn't live in the big city, her mind getting distracted by the arguments against Gotham, Central City and even Metropolis itself getting her more angry before she felt herself bump into someone. "watch where your going" her mind hissed yet she just stayed silent until she finally got to the coffee shop. The barista asked what she'd like to order and she went for her usual for going out of a mocha with a cheese and ham sandwich and a packet of crisps. The barista said they were out of her usual sandwiched and crisps but still made her the coffee. "Nice figure. wanna sell it?" the barista asked. "No. buy your own because this isn't for sale" Teo replied as she still held her vinyl bobblehead figure. Soon paying for her drink and then leaving to get back to her apartment.

"Excuse me, but I think you bumped into me earlier" a voice asked. Getting half of her attention. Teo was about to turn around and say she was sorry to the stranger but a man on a bike riding too close to the pavement came and sent her coffee and figure flying. The brunette scowled in annoyance and a growl became caught in her throat. Images getting created in her mind of her parents laughing at her and making her mood even worse now mixed with a lack of food. "Are you okay?..." the man asked before offering to buy her another coffee if she'd like. "Not now. Just....ugh" she said, too irritated by things around her and just left taking her figure with her. She didn't hear anyone following her and when she looked back she didn't see anyone she thought the voice from before could belong to. The man picked up the coffee and saw that not all of the drink had spilled, reading the name in black marker on her coffee cup before he wondered if he should give her the rest back. He checked his watch and saw that he needed to get back to work. Knowing that if he tried to follow her she could try to pepper spray him if she was angry enough. Knowing full well how Gotham was, still wanting to make a change. Yet he still wished he had something else in his life other then work. He pushed the thoughts to one side and put the rest of the coffee in the bin. Going back to his office where he knew he had cases to deal with. The man thought about her for a second just hoping that the rest of her day went better. The name of the man's office door being: Harvey Dent, district attorney to Gotham City.
