Beauty and Pain

{CHAPTER SIX}

   There was pin drop silence in the classroom, they looked at me like they've seen a ghost and it was so overwhelming, I wanted to run but I knew I couldn't so while everyone was still in shock, I found an empty seat by the window and sat there.

"Okay class enough staring, you're making her uncomfortable, let's continue now shall we".

I was so grateful for the teacher at this point because after he warned them they returned to what they were doing but some of them were still glancing back at me once in a while.

Luckily I knew what he was teaching so it wasn't hard for me to catch up, I listened to him and took notes and before I knew it, the bell rang signalling the end of the class, even their bell sounded fancy, gosh.

I left the class first because I didn't want to risk the chance of someone talking to me, I wanted to avoid having friends at all cost as to not repeat history again in just one year but it seems luck is never on my side.

"Pristine! Pristine!".

Why can't I just have the heart to ignore people, why? Having no other option, I turned around and saw a girl jogging in my direction, she had shoulder length brown hair, pretty brown eyes and the most obvious freckles I have ever seen dusting her nose and upper cheeks, she was a bit short, well compared to my 5'11 she ahould be at least 5'6 or so.

"Hi, I'm Sabrina, nice to meet you and welcome to Gracefield".

"Nice to meet you too, since you already know my name I'll skip that part". I replied shortly.

"Wow, even your voice sounds so beautiful, you're really really pretty by the way, I think you might just be the most beautiful girl in this whole school and trust me, I'm not saying it to get in your good books, I've seen all the girls in this school so I can tell you this being a hundred percent sure".

She reminds me of Makayla, so straightforward and cute, I really miss my friends, maybe her being my friend won't be so bad.

"Well thanks, you're pretty too".

"Yeah, but compared to you, no way in hell". She scoffs.

"Hey, don't say that, everyone is pretty in their own way, I guess".

"Yeah sure, are you heading to the cafeteria?". She asks while walking with me to my locker so I can take the book for my next class.

"Cafeteria? But we just had one period, aren't we supposed to have like at least three periods before lunch?" I asked baffled because that's exactly how it's done in Ravenwood.

"Girl, this is second period and since the science students are less in this school, we have an hour and  thirty minutes for our core subjects since we'll have nothing to do afterwards, besides the time is eleven thirty, lunch break is from now till twelve, didn't you check your schedule?". She asks looking at me with her right brows raised.

"Oh, I guess that's where the problem is, I don't know the way to the cafeteria though".

"No worries, I'm here for a reason aren't I? I'll be your tour guide until you know your place around here, come on". With that said I followed her to the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was huge, no surprise there, it was divided into different sections, some where filled up with students chatting and eating, some where not so full and some where empty, as in only a student or two kind of empty.

"Come on, my friends are here already, let me introduce you to them, unfortunately I'm the only science student in our little group but you're here now so I'm not worried anymore". Sabrina smiles at me and leads me to her friends.

Thank goodness they weren't much, they were just two guys and two girls.

"Hey guys, meet my new friend and the new girl, Pristine". Sabrina says to her friends while sitting down with me sitting next to her.

"Holy fuck! Are you real?!". A girl with straight jet black her and dark green eyes says to me looking at me wide eyed, she reminds me of Sophia.

"OM jeez, you're so pretty, I love your hair, is this the natural colour?". I nodded at a dirty blonde girl with dark brown eyes.

"That was also the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw her hair, and then her eyes, ughhhh it can literally pull you in". Sabrina says to her friends who nod their heads vigorously at me to confirm what she said.

I felt eyes on me and turned in the direction to see the guys I saw earlier, one is a blonde with blue eyes and the other one has red curly hair with really dark green eyes, they looked really attractive I must confess, I gave them a small smile and they nodded their heads in acknowledgement.

"Anyways, I'm Ingrid, nice to meet you Pristine. The girl with the jet black hair says.

"I'm Ophelia, nice to meet you too". The girl with the dirty blonde hair spoke this time.

"And these two who aren't mute but refuses to talk are Jake(the blonde) and Caspian(the red head)". Sabrina says completing the introductions.

Well, guess I have new friends now.

The guys automatically went mute after seeing Pristine, crazy right?!😅
