Today's the day when Ethan's family is coming over for dinner and I don't know what to wear. They are coming in two hours. I always take a lot of time getting ready, yep, I'm one of those girls. I love fashion and clothes and I always have a plan, I always know what to wear, but today I have a total brain freeze. I go through my my walk in closet twice before I decide to take a shower and just think there.

When in the shower. I decided to put a black pair of high waisted skinny jeans and a navy crop top. Then I just put a black pair of knee high heels. I do a little bit of light makeup and some loose curls and then go downstairs to help my mom with the dinner.

"Honey, you look beautiful." My mom's standing by the stove with a spatula in her hand, the wonderful smell of food hits me. My mom is making steak for dinner and it smells amazing.

"Thanks, mom. It smells lovely in here." My mom is smiling at me. "Do you need any help with the food?"

"No, it's fine darling, but you can go check that your little brother is getting ready and not playing TV games."

"Yeah, okay."

I go upstairs and into the living room to find my little brother laying in our big red sofa still playing Black Ops. I know, a very good game for a seven year old. "Mason, you have to go get ready, they are coming in less than 15 minutes."

"But I have to finish this."

"No, you don't. You have to get ready. Save that and maybe we can play some together later."

"Promise?"

"I promise, now go get ready." Slowly he turns the TV off and stumble out of the living room. His bedroom is on the third floor. It's blue, blue and a little more blue. Mason is seven years old. I do love him, but he can be a little annoying. He's more like my father, he has blonde hair and blue eyes just like my father, but he is never here, he always go abroad with his work. I'm more like my mother with thick brown hair and brown eyes, but my mum's hair is a lot darker than mine.

20 minutes later the doorbell rings and I rush down the stairs to say hi to family Smith. Adalyn is wearing a black dress and black Toms. James is wearing navy khakis and a white button down shirt. Madison is wearing a pink dress and Ethan is wearing black skinny jeans with a white shirt and boots. Seems to be his signature outfit, but I love it. We greet each other and then go into the living room. Everyone sits down on the couch and my mom is handing out everyone a drink. The kids get a soda. My mom rushes out to the kitchen to finish the dinner.

"So, Emma. I heard that you've kind of grown up here."

"Yes, we go here every summer. This place was my mom's grandparents so this is like her second home." I answer and giggle.

"It's a lovely place." Ethan is smiling at me. God, he's so charming! Madison and Mason are sitting on the floor building Lego. I excuse myself and go upstairs to see if Kaylee, my best friend have texted me. I get very happy to see that she has because it was a pretty long time ago that we talked. I sit down on the foot of my bed and look at the text.

Kaylee: "I'm so sorry I haven't texted you! I miss you Emma! :("

Me: "It's okay Kaylee, I could have texted you too. Miss you!"

Kaylee: "How is everything?"

Me: "It's good, nothing special." Of course, that's a lie but I'll wait to tell her about the new family and Ethan, not yet at least.

I get interrupted by Ethan. I kind of jump off the bed when I see him by the door. "God, you scared me."

"Sorry, I just didn't know what to do down there."

"I understand, me neither." I laugh and he is too.

"I just wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out sometime, I have some friends here as I told you and maybe we could do something with them."

"Yeah, that would be great. It would be nice to get to know some people out here."

"What about Friday night? They heard that I was here so my friend, Luke, texted me and asked if I wanted to hang out but I haven't replied yet. They said that there was a party at Luke's friend's house."

"Oh, I don't want to be in the way."

"You're not!"

"Okay." He smiles at me and I return it.

"Maybe we should go down and eat, I think the food is ready now."

"Sure." We walk down in silence, but it's not the awkward silence, in fact it's very comfortable.

Everyone takes their seats at the big table. Me, Ethan, Madison and Mason sits at one half of the table and the parents take their seats at the other half of the table. Ethan is sitting next to me and I can feel his warmth and he smells so good, I can't even describe it. The dinner goes by pretty quickly. After that the kids go up to play a game at the tv, including me and Ethan. Of course I want to play, but Madison doesn't and I don't want her to be all alone, so I leave the boys and go sit next to Madison on the couch.

"Hi."

"Hi." She answers me with a shy smile on her face.

"So, do you like it here?"

"Yeah."

"That's great! Are you going to be here for the whole summer?"

"I think so."

"Well then we'll get to hang out a lot." I smile at her and she returns it.

We don't talk so much more after that. Madison is four years old and God, she's a little cutie. She has blonde hair and blue big eyes. The boys are screaming in the background while me and Madison is watching them. I can't seem to keep my eyes away from Ethan. What's wrong with me?

After about an hour Adalyn yelled for Ethan and Madison that they had to go home. I hugged Ethan goodbye and electricity, flood through me from tip to toe. I inhaled his good scent that I don't seem to get enough of.

"If I won't see you around I guess I'll see you on Friday. I'll pick you up at eight." Ethan said to me while smiling.

"Yeah, I guess so."

I went back upstairs, changed into my pajamas, washed my makeup off and brushed my teeth. Then I lay down in my bed and closed my eyes. I fell asleep immediately.
