𝚃𝚠𝚒𝚗'𝚜 𝟷𝟿 𝙱𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚍𝚊𝚢 𝟷𝟾Birds chirped over your pink speaker that echoed No Role Modelz by J. Cole throughout your room. Rays of sunshine peeked through your window as you applied a coat of lip gloss in your vanity mirror. You smiled, taking a final glance at yourself before stepping in front of your phone that was propped up on your dresser.
"So how I look?" You twirled for the camera, showing off your outfit for the day.
"Wait, turn around again," The deep voice spoke from the phone. Confused, you turned your back to the camera before peeking over your shoulder to spot any sign of a flaw.
"Dayum," A grin appeared on the screen as his eyes trailed the snug knit dress that clung to your curves.
"Khalon..." You frowned, crossing your arms to the camera.
His white teeth were put on display as he let out a laugh. "My bad, my bad," He apologized through the giggles, "Na, but foreal. You look good."
Not impressed by his compliment, you rolled your eyes at him before returning back to your vanity. "So, what time you finna get there?" You asked, lifting a small makeup holder that rested at the corner of the desk. Under laid a homemade card, the cover splattered with printed-out letters that spelled 'Happy Birthday'.
It's the twins' birthday today. Your hot-headed Geminis were finally eighteen and as a surprise, their mom planned a BBQ for this afternoon. The hardest part of it all was keeping it a secret. Nelly's knack to catch on to things plus all the mess with Ty did make it difficult. But luckily, Tana was soon there to replace his spot in the plan.
Now he and Trell were distracting the two at the park while the rest of y'all met up at their house to set up. He was even able to add on to the group gift.
It was your idea to do a group gift this year and after the many arguments over what to do, you finally agreed on making a card. Doodles from the group scattered the white construction paper, each showing off your friends' personalities.
Trell drew a neon green T-Rex that angrily blew heart-shaped kisses. He also did the favor of turning half the card into a mini-basketball court, which resulted in a yelling from you once got it back. Daysha, on the other hand, added a graffiti-style tag that decorated the border. The vibrant colors matched the chaotic environment as it spelled out 'Always N' Forever'.
The card in all was bulky with different colors of papers seeping past the cover. Everybody was able to add their own page, decorating it however they wanted to. You chose to decorate yours with paper hearts which you immediately regretted after realizing how difficult it is to make one. However, after many days of folding and folding and even more folding, you're confident you could even make one in your sleep.
