Eric POV
It was a cold December evening. I was staring at myself in the mirror, deciding on what to wear. Tonight I was doing something new, something I've never done before. I'm going out with my classmates.
I don't usually go to clubs, but ever since I moved schools it has been really difficult to make friends. I'm hoping that tonight I'll get to know more people so I could have somebody to hang out with at school.
I put extra effort into the way I look. I want to impress them. I was even a bit excited to go.
I finished getting ready, got my bag and made my way downstairs.
My mom was putting on her shoes in the entryway.
"Are you all ready to go?" She asked me with a smile. She was glad that I'm finally getting out of my shell.
I nodded and put on my shoes and coat.
By the time I was done, she was already waiting in the car.
She insisted on taking me, as well as picking me up - she doesn't want me to walk alone at night. I'm thankful for that. Plus, I want to tell her all about how it went. If it goes well and I make some friends, I know she will be happy, and if it goes bad, she will comfort and reassure me.
We blasted our favorite bands in the car and talked about all sorts of things on our way to the club. I love times like these.
My mom is quite busy and often gets drowned in her work. It's been difficult for her, I know that. That's why I cherish simple moments like these when we get to just talk.
...
When we arrived, we said our goodbyes and she drove off.
I stared at the entrance of the club, pulling myself together. I was quite nervous.
When I went inside, I was met with a large crowd and loud music blasted into my ears. Everything smelled of alcohol, drugs and sex. I wanted to leave so bad.
I was getting bumped into and thrown around while trying to find my classmates. I ended up at the bar counter. I sat down, needing a little break. I didn't want to drink alcohol since you can never trust a place like this and I also didn't like the taste of it.
"Hi~ Sugar. What is a Cutie like you doing all alone?" An older guy sitting at the counter said with a huge grin on his face. This guy looked to be in his thirties.
I tried to ignore him, not wanting to get in any trouble, but that got him even more fired up.
"You are just too cute trying to act all tough. C'mon Sweetheart, how about I buy you a drink, and you give me something else in return?" He said, placing a hand on my thigh.
I flinched at that. Seriously, this guy is disgusting! I quickly removed his hand off me. My heart was beating like crazy. I tried to get up and leave but he and his two friends held me down.
"What's the matter Sweetheart? You got a boyfriend or something? I see he isn't taking very good care of you." He said grinning and poking at my arm.
"You are quite skinny for a boy your age. You know, I would take much better care of you~." With that he ordered us drinks. He put his hand around my shoulder and started complimenting me on my looks. I tried to wiggle out of his grip, I screamed at him to let me go, but the music was so loud I could barely hear myself. My pleading fell on deaf ears as they just chuckled at me. There were three of them and only one of me.
What the hell?! Why isn't anyone helping me?! The bartender ignored my calls for help and everyone else was just dancing and minding their own business.
