Adira woke up to see Max cuddling her. She woke him up to have breakfast.
Adira and Max hold their hands, and walk into the mess hall.
They sat on the table, Max drinking his coffee as usual.
"Good morning, lovely couple!" Cooper said as he walked towards them.
"Good morning, Cooper." Adira said as she eats her breakfast.
Eventually, their friends also greeted and sat with them.
"Hey, what's wrong with David, mates." Cooper lifted his finger, pointing at the tall man, who was sitting at the table, a picture in his hand.
David was frowning, staring at the picture with a sad look.
"This isn't David. He was always this upbeat, enthusiastic, and happy-go-lucky guy. But, why is he sad?" Adira thought.
Nikki glanced at David, before grabbing her tray, rushing over to the tall man.
She slammed the tray on the table next to his own, making the poor man flinch.
"MORNING, DAVID! Man, I'm so hungry I could die!" Nikki yelled.
Adira and Max walked over to the table, sitting down across David.
"Huh? Eh, G-good morning, Nikki." He put on a fake smile, trying to eat his cereal again, his hand shaking.
Adira knows that he is hiding something.
"The wrong with you?" Max said, startling the poor man.
"You look like you're out of sorts, David." Wyatt said.
"What?" David seemed shocked.
"Yeah. you look like you see a ghost or something?" Max said.
"What?! No I didn't!" David answered, in a very unconvincing tone, making Adira concern.
"Is everything okay, Mate?" Cooper asked.
T-Thanks you for asking, Cooper. Yes, I'm fine." David gave a fake smile once again, before frowning while looking at his cereal.
"Sounds like David DID see a ghost!" Nikki brought her opinion into the conversation, smiling wildly.
"I saw a ghost once!" Space Kid's voice rang from besides the table. He was walking past them. "He helped me find a dog."
"Who's this friend anyway? Trees and birds don't count." Max asked, switching the attention back to him.
"Nobody! I didn't mean it! She is making it up!" David gripped his head, tears now in his eyes, before he stood up, running away. "I'M SORRY!"
A few pictures then slipped out from his pockets, landing on the table in front of Adira.
She picked up the photos.
"It's unusual to see David crying...plus, shouldn't Gwen be the to cry in the morning?" Oliver said.
"Yeah, that's true. David is acting very weird." Neil, who walked over to the group, said, sitting down on the other side of Max.
Adira looked at the first photo, and sighed.
"What's in the photo?" Nikki asked.
"Guys, look at this..." Adira said.
