Choso's POV
Choso had you currently cradled in his arms, holding his breath to keep himself calm. He hoped you could not tell his heart was racing at your closeness. Your soft sighs as his fingers gently massaged your scalp were like a siren's call, "Do you want to talk about it now?" He whispers and feels you tense up in his arms."I would rather get a beer out of the fridge..." You mutter and he laughs. He pushes you back to look down at you. Your expression made him sad yet anger bubbled beneath the surface.
He could tell this really hurt you, whatever happened at the party. He knew you were infamous for avoiding conflict instead choosing to bury it deep. He loved that you thought of others but wanted you to be selfish at times.
"I can grab some beers but only if you talk to me." Choso scolds and you sigh. You sit up and hold out your hand to shake his own.
"Fine deal..." You say half heartedly and he reaches up to pat your head. "Don't baby me Choso..." You warn with a sneer but it only makes him smile. He holds up his hands in defeat as he stands up.
As he walks to the kitchen he thinks about the past. Choso was soft hearted and quiet. Oftentimes he hated conflict and would decide to ignore it. Growing up he cursed himself for not being able to protect you. At the same time he looked up to you when you were courageous. You are one of the reasons he has not given up on the world.
"What is taking so long..." You complain from the living room and he realizes he had been standing at the fridge with the door open. He shakes his head from the invading memories and grabs two beers.
"You want a snack with this?" He yells back and she shouts a list of junk food. Choso grabs everything requested and makes his way back.
As you both pull back the tab and take your first sip he watches as you close your eyes. "So good..." you sigh, "It's been awhile since just the two of us did something like this."
It was true both of them had been so busy with life that they never got to hang out like they did in the past. Even living together, one was running out the door or had prior engagements. "Yeah I missed this..." Choso admits and heat flushes to his cheeks.
Your laughter filled the room, the sound was so beautiful. "Just remembering the first time we snuck and tried some of my moms wine together. You made the craziest face when you tried it."
Choso chuckles, the fond memories they share warming up the previously melancholy atmosphere. When you turn to him with serious eyes he gulps and clenches his jaw.
"I want you to be happy. Lately I feel like I've been kind of a downer. I really hope this works out with Sahara." You reach up and cup his cheek tenderly. Choso feels like passing out. Enjoying your touch but hating the words leaving your lips.
"Y/N... you promised you were going to talk about what was going on..." Choso clicks his tongue chastisingly and takes hold of your wrist, softly pulling it away.
Your expression hardens and you bite your lower lip nervously. "Satoru ran into his ex." Choso scolded himself for the small bit of joy he felt knowing Satoru fucked up. He tried hard not to grin.
"It was his first love. Suguru..." The way you said the man's name was filled with contempt. "He broke Satoru's heart. Their last conversation he told him he needed to find himself. That everything here was suffocating him. I think he is just a coward... If you love someone, why leave?"
"So Satoru left with him?" Choso prodded and he saw tears start to form at the corners of your eyes. You simply nod and look at your phone where no text or calls were on the screen. He watches as you essentially shotgun the rest of the beer.
"Hey hey... slow down..." Choso mutters but you grab another. Sighing Choso does not stop you. "I'm sure they are just catching up and have lost track of time." Choso takes another sip.
"Yeah as they fuck passionatly..." You grumble and Choso chokes on his drink. "I love you so much... I'll never leave you again... yes right there... feels so good..." you go on a tangent and Choso watches as you frail your arms around, spilling a bit of the alcohol.
Choso grabs your arms to stop your movements. "You won't know until you talk to Satoru. So let's try and get your mind off of it for now." You pout, your full lower lip trembling. He wipes the tears away before they could escape and he feels you take in a sharp breath to calm yourself.
"You're right... Choso, please help me distract my brain." You say in a whiny tone and Choso swallows. He mentally smacks himself for the deviant thoughts that invaded his mind.
"I just bought Yuji a new gaming system..." He shrugs and you smile brightly. He wanted to shout how much he loved you then and there. He suppressed all urges.
"Mario kart??" you ask and he nods. "Fuck yeah let's do this shit!" You curse jumping up and running to the kitchen. He gives you a concerned look when you return with an armful of more alcohol.
Small Timeskip
Choso cleared out empty cans as you lean against his bed, controller still in hand falling asleep. "Hey Y/N..." You groan in annoyance and he laughs. "Go to bed."You slightly open your eyes then lift your arms up. "I'm not carrying you..." Choso grumbles. He could not deny how cute you looked.
"Come on... So tired... legs won't listen to me..." You slur pretending to try and stand up and wobble back down. Choso sighs and gives in, like always.
He picks you up with a huff and your arms wrap around his neck. "You smell good..." You nuzzle into his neck and Choso holds in a groan. After that he hurries to your room and quickly puts you into bed.
Choso turns to leave but you grab his arm. He looks down at you, your eyes not fully closed as you pull him back. "Stay..." You whimper and he shivers. This was beyond dangerous. "It's been so long since we did this. Let's make it a sleepover in my room like before."
Frustration hits Choso almost immediately. He knew you saw him as safe. That you were best friends and that this was okay. "We aren't kids anymore Y/N...." Choso warns but you click your teeth.
"You are no fun..." You say crossing your arms. "It's okay. Just tonight." Your voice is low, close to falling asleep. Choso growls in irritation as he suddenly joins you in bed.
You let out a startled yelp as he pins you down onto the mattress, his body heavy against yours. "Do you not realize I am a man too..." He asks, her eyes still hazy from the alcohol were now wide staring up at him. He lowers his face inches from her own.
A thick tension coated the small space as they both held their breaths. He watches as you look him over then back up at him. "You have gotten a lot bigger..." You smirked and he wanted to kiss you so badly. But he doesn't.
"Just tonight ok..." Choso whispers and you nod. He rolls off of you and next to you on the mattress. You grab his arm to wrap around you and snuggle into him. He bites the side of his cheek to settle his thoughts. "Night..."
"Goodnight Choso... thank you..." You say sleepily and after a few minutes your breathing evens out. Though you were able to fall asleep he knew it was going to be a long night for himself.
