Description:
All readers have that one book, that one closest to your heart, that one you'll never stop recommending, that one you could reread a thousand times and still not get sick of it. For Avery Montgomery that book was the first book to really connect with her, the book that made her forget the world while she was reading, the one where she could see a little bit of herself in the main character; Better than the Movies by Lynn Painter. She had read the book more times than she could count, had filled the margins with her thoughts, highlighted, doodled. The original copy had been through a lot in the six years it had been since she bought it.

Avery had seen herself in the one and only Liz Buxbaum, well, really only a little bit, but while she'd never be quite as cool as Liz, she was certainly a hopeless romantic. She's been waiting for her perfect 'meet cute,' for the fates to align at the right moment and give Avery her fairytale 'happily ever after.' But of course, she'd never tell anybody that.

After 22 long years of waiting for that fairy tale moment, it finally arrived for Avery the day she heard they were making a movie out of "Better than the Movies" - a little ironic, huh? - and not just that, filming was to take place only a few towns over. Though Avery had no acting experience whatsoever - she was in vet school for crying out loud - she decided there was no way it could be a coincidence, so what would be the harm in auditioning? It wasn't like she'd get the role... right?

Author's Note: First of all, thank you for reading! I'm so glad you decided to give this little book a try. I'm just now beginning it but I do really like this concept and I feel like I have a good idea of where it's headed and how I want to end it, which is much better than what I've done in the past.

I hope to keep up with a schedule, I posted my first chapter on a Saturday so my goal is to post every Saturday but that could change depending on my schedule and work load of the week.

I'm trying to make things line up and make sense but some things just don't, for example Better than the Movies was published fairly recently but that doesn't really align with the way i wanted to set it up for background (hence why I didn't put any years), please just bear with me lol.

Feel free to point out anything you notice and give me feedback, I would seriously appreciate it, I'd love to know what y'all think about it.

Alright I think that's it, I really hope you enjoy it!

Thanks again!!
