I open my eyes slightly from the loud noise of
music. It's almost deafening, my bedroom walls
are the only thing stopping the noise from
attacking my ears. I slowly sit up and stare at my
wall. What time is it? oh who cares.
I get up from my bed and stare in the mirror. I'm
all sweaty, it's been very warm these nights... I'll
go in the shower. I head towards my ensuite and
walk in. The light is already on, it's blinding. I
strip myself down then seconds later i feel the
boiling water bounce drip down my skin. I lather
my hair with shampoo and my eyes flutter as it
rinses off. The sweet strawberry smell of the
shampoo is nice.
I dry off and wrap the towel around my chest. I
look at the mirror and wipe my hand over the
steam covering my reflection. My long brown
hair dripping wet, i use another towel to dry the
excess water off. I walk away from the mirror, out
the bathroom, into my bedroom. There i am met
with the slightly cold air, i walk over to my
dresser and pick out some clothes like pyjamas so
i can get food from the kitchen, which i assume
has a lot of people in it. I tie my hair up into a messy bun after quickly blasting it with my hair
dryer, then i put some slippers on. No need for
shoes in my own house. As soon as i open my
door i'm met a huge heatwave of body heat
coming from the huge amount of people that are
here.
Definitely my brothers party. Kyran is known for
his huge parties, I never go to them considering
they're in my house. I leave my room and shut
the door behind me, thankfully there only a few
people near my room. The music is so loud that i
can feel the vibrations in my body, i head towards
the stairs and i get bumped into by some big guy, "Oh shit didn't see you there sorry." he says.
"It's fine." i reply, i'm not very good at speaking
to others so i try make this interaction quick.
"Are you in pyjamas?" this guy asks, i go kinda
red from embarrassment. "Uhm... yeah." i say.
He just gives a laugh, "Okay wow. I've never seen
you before? do you even go to the school that
most the people here go to?" he questions me still
talking to me. "Yes. And this is my house." I say
bluntly, i don't make myself known.
"HOLY SHIT!! NO WAY?" he shouts very loudly.
"SO YOUR KYRANS LITTLE SISTER?! WHATS
YOUR NAME AGAIN?" he keeps yelling.
"Sydney, and if you don't mind i'm going to make
myself some food." i move past him but he
follows me, great.
As we barge our way through the crowd of
drunken people we manage to arrive in the
kitchen, surprisingly there's not many people in
here. "Why did you follow me?" i ask this guy
who's name i still don't know, he gives me an
answer "Because why not." i just roll my eyes at
that and start to make noodles, it's quick and
easy.
He's still here. My noodles are finished and now
i'm eating them while the guy is sitting there on
the counter drinking ... whatever it is he's
drinking. "So why do i not know you? i know like
everyone in the school." he finally speaks, "I'm
not like my brother. In fact i'm the complete
opposite if you must know." i grumbled. He
makes a dumb face and nods. "What's your name
anyway?" i asked the guy, i need to know his
name if he's going to talk to me.
"Leon!!!" he says with such happiness, why is he
happy at that? oh well.
"Okay, Leon. Can i go to my room? myself? or are
you going to follow me there too." i said firmly.
Maybe that was harsh but who cares. "Why are
you going already? there's a party!" Leon sighed.
I get up to go but before i do say i turn to him and
say "Yeah well i'm not a party person." and walk
away. I'm making my way through the crowd
again this time without a dog following me. I
reach the stairs and as i'm walking up them a girl
catches my eye, she's dancing with some people
but she sands out. Her dress is black and sparkly,
she has dark hair too. I swear she looked at me
but i couldn't be imagining it. I make my way to
my room and shut the door.
Why can't someone else throw a party for once?
As i head to my bed i check my phone. it's 12:26
am, ugh.. i'm not even that tired anymore. I feel
the bed dip as i sit down. I drag my duvet over
my body. It's cozy. I reach over my bed to grab
my tv controller to turn on my tv. May as well
watch something as i can't sleep.
What to watch. I've watched so many shows, i
need more to watch. I could watch a movie, Just
what one. 57 meters down uncaged. I love shark
movies so much, i press play and it begins. Damn
i should've gotten some snacks for this. I could
message my brother. Yeah i'll do that, but he's
probably too drunk to answer...

ugh fine i'm jusy bringing whatewver i can grab

i react to his message with a heart emoji. Minutes later i hear my door open and see Kyran walk in but he's not alone. He's with him. "Uhm why are you here?" i ask Leon. Kyran hands me the food before Leon says "Your brother is very drunk so i'm making sure he doesn't get uh hurt or whatever." i roll myself and signal them to go away, they do. I resume my film and eat my snacks.
After my second film i end up falling asleep.
