Unforgettable

Chapter 2

My eyelids won't block out the sun from reaching my eyes. The sunlight almost covering my room awakens me.

I make my way from out my bed and throw on a hoodie that's laying on my floor. I head towards my door knowing the mess that will be awaiting me. I put my hand onto the handle and open my door, immediately i'm met with the awful stench of sweat and alcohol mixed together. Disgusting. I look over from the mezzanine glaring at the bottom floor where it's trashed.

I walk down the stairs to only see Kyran and a couple of others passed out everywhere. I walk over to Kyran and try to wake him up, "Hey Ky wake up!!" i yell.

"Huh what." he stumbles, i stand there with my arms crossed. He sits up from the counter and stares at me, there's alcohol all over him. "The house. Clean it, and get your friends out of here." I frown. After parties i'm always the maid, he makes me clean it up every time.

He shakes his head before fully sitting up and making a mad pouty face at me. "But sis come on... i'm so hungover!" he said. "Yeah that's not my fault. Neither is this mess so get to it." I slap his face and he puts his hand up - i thought he was going to slap me back but he put it to the cheek i just slapped and looked sad.

"Please.. i need your help." he sobs, "Ugh fine. You're doing most of it though!" i groan. Can't believe i'm stuck helping him clean up again.

I walk over to get some bin bags and pass one to Ky, he's not happy. Then i walk over to some girl on the floor and kick her slightly with my foot, "You, get up." i say then walk away, and who do i see AGAIN. Leon, and he's sleeping on the couch. I walk past him and start picking up the trash, that's definitely a stain on the carpet there.

The girl i kicked just ran out the house with 2 other people, thanks for all the help.

Me and Kyran manage to clean up most the house. There's still some more but that's fine. I walk outside with a few bags of trash, if people were to be watching they'd think we were crazy. As i'm outside i accidentally step on a piece of glass "Shit!" i shouted, that hurt. I'm holding my foot as Kyran comes over to me, "Oh no are you okay?" he asks.

"well what does it look like!?" I reply as i begin hoping inside. He makes a face but i ignore him.

I get to the kitchen and sit on the counter, from there i run my foot under cold water. "This is your fault!" i shout at Kyran, "What! no, it's whoever left the glass bottle!" he defends himself. Whatver same thing. I tell him to grab a bandage so i can put it on my foot and he does so, "Why haven't you told him to get up yet?" i ask as i point over to Leon. "He's my friend so i don't care." he reply's as he hands me the bandage, my face drops.

WHAT? i didn't know they knew eachother, i know most of my brothers friends too. "Wow." that's all i say.

I put the bandage on my foot and jump to the floor. I pick up another trash bag and head to the backyard, that's the last place that needs cleaning.

...

The pool is filled. Why do people not put things in the bin? i'll never know. I grab the pool net and start fishing out the trash as someone comes up behind me "Boo!" someone shouts, as i turn around i smack them with the pool net. I hear my brother laughing from the door, "Nice one sis!" he laughs. I realise who i just hit, Leon. "Ow!! that hurt." he cries, i scoff and walk away to another part of the backyard. "Not my fault you decided to scare me!" i huff.

"That still hurt!" he shouts. "Just grab a fucking bag." i exclaim.

He takes a trash bag and starts picking up the shit that everybody left, and soon after the whole backyard is clean. Finally!

I hand my trash bags to my brother and walk back inside, i go to the kitchen and grab a glass of water. Who was that girl last night? she was very unforgettable. She most likely goes to my school, i'm going to look for her tomorrow. Well... i'll keep an eye out. Hopefully she comes to me, and i can't even ask my brother or Leon about her as i don't even know her name!!

I hear clicks and shake my head "Hellooo??? Sydney?!" my brother says, i look at him. "Sorry, what is it?" i reply.

"Well, thanks for helping i guess. And can you please explain to Leon how i'm not a player!" wow. That's really something, "My brother is definitely not a player. There you go." i roll my eyes again. "Not like that!!" he says while walking off to the front door where Leon stands. He's laughing at Kyran. That's understandable.

I can hear them talking so i decide to listen in...

"Hey man wasn't your ex here last night?" my brother asks playfully, i'm interested now that i've heard the word 'ex' "Yeah!! i so miss her dude, i'm such an idiot for dumping her!!" He replies, making my brother giggle a bit. Why did he dump her? "Yeah well i doubt she wants you back, plus don't you like someone else anyway so what's the issue!!" My brother laughed. Leon's face is like a sad puppy wanting food. "Oh whatever!!" Leon says before giving my brother a nudge and leaving, slamming the door behind him.
