The Last Of Us

Chapter 1: The Beginning

(Rileys Pov)

It was just a casual school day, nothing to big. After school I went back home and stayed in my room listening to music and doodling. I then got an alert on my phone.

⚠️Please evacuate your houses and get to somewhere safe Cannibalism is happening⚠️

I was shocked "S-Shit!" I ran downstairs and no one was there, not my mom or my brother. I pulled out my phone to call my mom, no awnser, I tried calling my brother no awnser. "Fuck..." I looked outside and saw people hurrying to get out of the town.

I quickly ran upstairs to grab a backpack and everything I would need, a flashlight, some clothes, and K didn't need to have my phone cause it wasn't working. I went into my mom's room and looked in her closet, she had a pistol, and shotguns I took one of each. After that I went back downstairs and took a deep breath and went outside looking around.

I thought of what I was doing and had a plan. I started walking towards the middle school, knowing a lot of people where there but I had protection. As soon as I got there I hid behind a car that was broken down and saw a thing, It had blood all over its body and it looked like one of my brothers friends. I've played zombie games before and I know their not human anymore, but I didn't want to bring attention so I sneaked away from it and continued going to where I was going.

When I got to my destination it was a blue house and a dark gray door, which one of my friends lived here named Kohana. I quickly ran to the door banging my hand and Kohana opened it and slammed it behind me bringing it in. "Oh My God thank goodness you still alive..." She says hugging me, I hug her back. "I'm glad at least one of my friends is still alive with this going around." I say rubbing the back of my neck sitting on a chair.

"I'm worried about everyone else...I was trying to call them but my phone wasn't working..." She said, "my phone wasn't working either...but hey we can go look for them." I say. Her eyes widened "I-Im not going out there!!" She shouted at me terrified. "Shhh calm down" I said standing up calming her down. "This is the only way to find out if everyone else is okay." I say again giving her options.

"But there is one thing we need to do before finding them..." I say, "what is it?" She asks questioning. I looked away "we need to go to my dad's house and see if he's still there." She looks at me, "so your telling me that we have to walk all the way over there!?" She shouted again. "Kohana, ima need you to turn it down a notch." I say sitting her down on the chair.

"My dad's house is a couple blocks away from here...we can go there and see if there still there if not we can gather supplies." I explain to her. "Okay that works, just as long as you don't leave." I smiled softly. "I promise." She goes to grab a backpack and a flashlight and I sit there and wait for her. I start to wonder who could still be alive, hoping that my dad is still alive and Ian and Natalie....
