Chapter 3: Why Her!

(Rileys Pov)

As I was looking through my bag, Kohana started talking to Natalie and Chrissy about our trip over here. I stand up "Oh please...it wasn't that exciting." I say to them. I sit back on the couch with the teddy bear Ian got me. I felt safer at Ian's house.

Ian and Colin came back and Ian sat next to me on the couch bringing me in. Colin sits on the floor. We all sit in the livingroom keeping an eye on eachother making sure everyone is okay. Chrissy stands up and goes into the bathroom.

After a while Chrissy still hasn't came out yet. I go up to the bathroom door "C-Chrissy?..." I say slightly opening the door and Chrissy running at me. "OH SHIT!" I yell Chrissy trying to bite me. Ian pulls out his gun and BOOM!

I was breathing heavily trying to realize what just happened. Ian goes to me "Hey...hey its okay." I look at him and start to cry. "Why did it have to be Chrissy." I say crying in his arms. Everyone is silent, as much as the group hated Chrissy, she was still a good friend.

Soon it was night, we all just slept in the living room in sleeping bags. I didn't want to leave Ian's side so we slept in the same one, me in his arms. I hear him whisper in my ear. "You doing okay?" I look up slightly and whisper back "I'm doing okay..." I say laying my head on his chest shaking a little bit terrified of who's going to be next.

In the middle of the night we hear a gun shot outside. I sit up and so does Ian and everyone else. Colin gets up to check outside "Guys it's Alden." Ian gets up as I stay in the sleeping bag. Ian slightly opens the door and whispers but yells a bit. "Alden!" But then Alden comes to the door and gets inside. "Omg those things are even worse then I thought." Alden says quietly. Ian nods and gets back into the bag and rubs my back. "Is Riley alright?" Alden asks "No...Chrissy turned today." Ian says quietly. "Oh shoot...I'm sorry Riley." Alden says, as I just lay my head down on Ian's chest.

Alden sits on the couch. "So...what do we do now? Where did you put her body?" Colin then says "we threw it outside...we didn't want it to smell in here then Kohana and Natalie cleaned the mess." Kohana got up "Alden...I didn't know you were here?" Kohana whispers. "Just got here actually..." Alden lays down on the couch since we ran out of sleeping bags. Colin stayed up all night making sure all of us are all right.

Then morning hit us quicker then we thought, I sat up in the sleeping bag confused of where I was, then I remembered. Ian was sitting on the couch with Alden talking and Natalie just came out of the bathroom. Since the bathroom was now empty I go in there. I look at myself in the mirror and feel a bit of pain in my arm, I unroll my sleve and see a bite mark. I start to freak out.

I open the door. "Ian come here please..." Ian comes into the bathroom and I show him. His eyes widen. "I-Ian...I-I don't want to die..." I say to him, he pulls me into a hug. "You must've gotten this from Chrissy. But you would've turned last night...but you didn't." Ian says slightly pulling away and pulling out bandages to wrap my arm.

After he bandaged me up he kissed me, I kissed him back them he broke the kiss. "I-I can't lose you..." He says. "You won't" I smile softly and kiss him on the cheek and hug him tightly.
