Chapter 5: The Trip

(Rileys Pov)

Soon morning came, I got up realizing that Ian wasn't in the sleeping bag with me anymore. He was on the couch again packing his bag. I sat up and stretched. "Looks like someone is finally awake." Natalie says. I nod and stand up and go into the bathroom real quick.

I get the bandages, and roll up my sleeve. Natalie then walks in unintended and her eyes widen. "R-Riley..." She says. "When did you get bit?" She says wanting me to awnser. I look away "whenever Chrissy turned...she bit me." I say to her. Natalie's eyes widen again tearing up.

"Why haven't you turned yet..." She says. I shake my head "I-I don't know...Ian thinks that I may be imune..." I say. "Ian knows?" I nod. She helps me bandage my arm and we walk out of the bathroom but then she whispers in my ear. "You got hickies~" My face turns bright red "you've got to be kidding me..." I say back to her but go to my backpack and put my teddy bear in it.

Ian walks up behind me. "How dare you put hickys on my neck..." I whispered. He whispers in my ear "don't get mad at me it wasn't my fault." He says and walks away. 'How can he just act calm about this...'i think to myself trying to hide my blush.

Soon, we're all ready to go. Kohana starts to have a panic attack. But I managed to calm her down. "We can go to Mr Ds and see if there's any supplies there." Colin says. It was only like 2 blocks away from Ian's house. So we'll make it.

Colin looked outside to make sure it was clear, but it wasn't so we quietly left the house and hid behind a bush. I pulled out my pistol just in case. Me, Colin, and Ian had guns, so we were prepared. We then began walking halfway there when we heard someone calling for help. Me and Natalie ended up going to check on who it was.

He was hiding behind a bush. "Riley?" He says. I realize who it is. It's My brother. "Michael?" I say back hugging him tightly. "Why are you out here? Where's mom and dad?" I say. "There both at a camp in Hudson...you guys should go they have food and water it's amazing..." I shake my head no. "You need to go back...it's dangerous out here." Michael stands up. "No...I'm not going without you." He says. I look at Natalie, she just shrugs. "You can come with us...but I swear to God if you start crying you will go by yourself do you understand?" I say to him. He nods and we walk back with the group.

"Why is Michael coming with us?" Ian whispers as we walk. "Because he refused to go to the camp in Hudson without me so...he's just coming with us." Ian nodded and we finally got to Mr Ds. Colin checked the doors and it was clear. We all got inside when Ian and Colin shut the door behind us. "IS everyone good?" Colin asks all of us. We all say yes.

"Good...then start grabbing supplies." Colin says.
