Hope had decided that Ms. Sally Spectra was to be her first stop. She had some things she needed to say to her son's soulmate. It was time that the redhead pulled her head out of her ass and let go of Nicholas. And Hope was going to help her remove it.
Sally was about to get ready for bed when she felt cold water hit her back. Confused, she turned around to see a woman standing in the doorway to the bathroom. The former fashion designer screamed as the mystery woman rolled her eyes.
"Please, I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to help you. Help you before you lose the greatest thing that ever happened to you."
Sally stared at this woman incredulously, who did she think she was? How could she possibly help Sally and what was the greatest thing that ever happened to her? The redhead studied the mystery woman a little closer before responding. She looked familiar, but she couldn't place her.
"Help me? You're here to help me?" The woman nodded. "How are you going to do that?"
The mystery woman didn't answer, she walked forward until she was standing five feet from Sally. The two women stared at each other for a minute before the older one smacked the younger across each cheek. "By smacking some sense into you" Hope responded as Sally rubbed her cheeks, which were currently stinging. Wow, that woman could really hit someone.
"Okay, ow. That really hurt. Why did you hit me?" Sally exclaimed.
"So you'll get off your bullshit and stop punishing my son."
"Your son?" Suddenly it clicked why this mystery woman looked so familiar. She had seen her before, but in pictures. Pictures that Adam had at his house, pictures of his mother. "You're Adam's mother. You're Hope." Hope nodded. "But, how, why...?"
"Why am I here?" It was Sally's turn to nod. "I told you it's to help you. And by helping you, I'm helping my son. You know my son, Adam, you've called him your soulmate several times. And you were correct about that by the way." Adam's mother knew she struck a nerve when all the color drained out of Sally's face. "Yes, dear, I know what you called him and I know what he did. I'm not apologizing for it, he's done it enough times don't you think? He made one mistake, a painful one yes, but a mistake none-the-less. Like you've never made one. I can think of several."
Sally was getting angry. Who did Hope think she was? Of course, she was going to go to bat for Adam. But she had no right to judge her, she didn't know her. "I'm sorry but you don't know me. Of course, you're going to defend Adam. Adam is your son and I know how much you meant to him. But that doesn't give you the right to come in here and judge me."
"Any mother would step in like this, when they see their child being mistreated. And you've been mistreating my son for months. With your selfishness and pathetic, juvenile behavior. Clinging to his brother, who you don't even love, just because Adam hurt your feelings one time. And save me your but he broke my heart excuse. You got over that a long time ago, otherwise you wouldn't have slept with him back in December. And you wouldn't have kissed him back the other night. You just like having these two men tripping over themselves every time you sneeze, you like being the center of attention for once."
Sally was stunned, the Hope standing in front of her was nothing like the Hope she remembered Adam describing. And she was making all these accusations about her and her motives. This wasn't going to stand. "Again, you don't know me at all. You're making a lot of assumptions here. And how dare you tell me how I feel. You know Adam talked about you a lot, but I don't remember him ever saying that you were so judgmental." She took a deep breath before continuing. "And where do you get off saying I don't love Nick? You don't know how I feel about Nick or anyone else."
